Re: Hunting Upland Game With a Bow
I would avoid using the Exomax string on the Micro as it is likely to come off on each shot, and with the string not there to help stop the forward limb movement you are likely to cause early limb failure. If you were willing to take a screwdriver with you then you could take two of metal D loop rep...

Here was what I had in mind. https://s19.postimg.org/q5uwg6qib/IMG_20170926_180224755.jpg You do have to put some down pressure on the cocking hooks as they want to jump up onto the rail. https://s19.postimg.org/gnzqtvu7n/IMG_20170926_112949312.jpg You will also need to be sure that you have good te...

Re: Hunting Upland Game With a Bow
Sometime ago I had posted the idea to make a D loop that attaches to your regular string to shorten the power stroke of the main string. I did not personally try it, but it should work and would be fairly easy to try. The biggest thing would be to make sure that you still have several inches of the ...

Re: Converting a C2 crank for left hand use
Sorry to hear that you may get side lined this season, hopefully the Parker can help to keep you in the woods this season. I will put it over in the trading post to see if another left hander would want to trade it for one of the right handed C2 cranks as I am a right hander myself.

Converting a C2 crank for left hand use
I saw the request by Hunter with MS to see if there was a convertible crank. The C2 comes setup only with the handle and mechanism on the right side. The main housing is symmetric and nearly all the parts can be readily adapted for use on the left side. The first step is to remove the original parts...

Re: crank that you can switch sides with the handle
Would a crank that was operated by say a small electric screwdriver or electric drill be feasible with the issues you mentioned with your hands?

Re: crank that you can switch sides with the handle
Hunter, I saw your request to have a C2 crank that you could use left handed. I looked at the C2 and nearly everything can be setup for use on the left side of the crank. Using the original holes on the right side I was able to set it up in the drill press to establish the same hole spacing. Once th...

Re: Matrix Cheek Piece height DIY
Looks really nice, definitely need to get the cheek piece adjusted up high enough to give a consistent anchor point on your face. This takes it from being a cosmetic cheek piece to one that is serving its intended purpose, especially when you stack on the HHA Optimizer. Always great to customize the...

Using the crank with your left hand
I decided to try out my idea on using an 11mm hex key to 1/2" socket adapter to let you crank back the bow using your left hand. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk314/mrshaffe/xbow2/LT_Crankaroo.jpg The longer 1/2" ratchet wrench handle works great on the left hand side of the crank, as...

Re: HHA Optimizer--low lite adjustment
I would try adding some glow in the dark paint, either 1,2,3 ... dots to correspond with 10,20,30 ... yards. I have used the Ultra Green from Glowinc. It maintains its glow for many hours after being charged, either by the sun or a flashlight. http://glow.glowinc.com/ultra-green-v10-water-based-glow...

Re: left handed crank
The left hand spool on the C2 has what appears to be an 11mm hex hole. You could try taking an 11mm hex key to 3/8" or 1/2" socket adapter and a matching ratchet wrench handle to give you a longer lever to make it easier to cock as well. The string is tied through here so you may need to d...

Re: Cutting your carbon arrow
I am using the Harbor Freight mini chop saw to cut down arrows. It comes with a metal blade that works for aluminum shafts and you can get abrasive cutoff wheels to do carbon arrows. I have the shop vac running right by the cutter when doing carbon arrows to get all the dust. Some folks have claimed...
