Re: 2024 Season

Drew a tag for one of the area lakes for a two week window the first two weeks of season, Oct 1-15. I was really busy and only managed a couple of sits. Lots of sightings but only shot opportunity was a little buck and he didnt have enough antler to meet the antler restrictions. I also drew a tag fo...

LEUPOLD! smaller, lighter, and much brighter than any others. Just get one and be done with it. Life is too short to complicate things. AND....the only warranty that may be better than Excalibur.(and the best part is you wont have to use it) The only down side to Leupold is that you will become very...

Re: Wool pants

When we were going to Colorado most years, I bought a pair from the Surplus place here in town( I think they were Swedish) they worked great and snow would pretty much brush off and not soak thru. Some how hanging in the closet 20 years they have shrunk up pretty bad. Not sure what happened.😎

With an open mind…… how about sight in at 20, then shoot using 30 yrs. chevron and SEE where you are zero. It may be 27 or 26 but who cares . My deer don’t come out in increments of 10. 40 yrs might be34 or 35. Who cares if it is 20-30-40 jmho( but me thinks y’all are overthinking’)

Re: Excalibur Brown Bear

I just sold a Vixen with the brown limbs and stock recently. I know that they also made an Exomax in brown. Recently on here Doemaster said they had brown in 3 different draw weights. Not sure what the middle was but Doemaster might be someone to ask as well. The Vixen I sold had a rail same length ...

Man where we live, you just wear your sneakers instead of your flip-flops. The first month and a half of deer season has been 80 degrees plus. Down in high 60s- 70s now..... I only own two pairs of long pants!    You gotta be south of Victoria!! AJ, you ought to just ...

Re: How do you keep your feet warm?

Well after moving to the north I was introduced to the Bama sock. It’s a little bootie that you put on over your regular sock and used in the mineing industry, not expensive at 15 to 20 bucks a pair.I wear mine at work with just regular socks and rubber safety boots rated for cold temps and when I g...

I use a JoJan with flat nocks. I just dremel'd a slot in an old 38 special brass and it slips over the back of the flat nock snug.
That’s brilliant, Tyler. You amaze me
