You can make a destringer from 3/8 rope. Tie loops on each end, and continue to shorten one end until you reach desired length.

Super 10 Finale
I will be heading to NWT in April to harvest my last species for the North American Super 10, for a muskox hopefully. I have been thinking of having it filmed professionally and using my M/380 and a zombie. It has taken me 30+ years to accomplish the super 10 and it all comes down to my last species...
