So I have noticed the newer micro models have an updated riser. And I noticed that the new risers are being sold with the original micros as well. Should micro owners be looking to buy the newer risers? Is this even possible?

Well depending on what you want and how patient you are it is possible to find a deal. I've seen some nice prices on craigslist and I just bought a brand new cub off ebay for 350 shipped. I know they say the Cub is a "youth" model but 190 draw and 285 fps is good enough for me.

I'm kind of excited for the 315. Although I won't be buying it. I just can't fit another large purchase in my budget. But I do have a micro 335 nightmare and I am really happy to own it. Maybe if I see a cheap enough used 315 I'll get it.

Also I have (18) Easton magnum arrows. I'm assuming these should be OK to shoot thru it? They might be a tad long conside...

I wouldn't mind a micro with a lower draw. A 200# draw for states that require it would be nice. BUT I have no idea how fast a micro with only a 200# draw would shoot.

Ahh OK. I was already leaning towards not doing it just because I didn't want to deal with the excess. But if you're saying it really does no good anyway then all the more reason to leave well enough alone.

Hello all. I've seen in a few different threads where people filled their rails with foam. What is the main purpose of this? Does it quiet vibration? And is there a specific foam you use or does that not matter?

Sorry to post on a 2 year old thread but I was google searching "custom wooden crossbow stock" and this came up. I wasn't around to comment before so I just wanted to say how AMAZING this is. Just incredible.
