Re: Bahamas Trip Was Awesome

Sounds like a nice trip. My wife and kid, as well as nieces and nephews, love to snorkel so we do it a few times a year in the Gulf of Mex. I try not to think about the gigantic sharks we see while fishing. Were looking into doing a Caribbean trip this year. Wife line up a resort that sounds like it...

Re: North Florida Turkey update

Could have loaned you my boy over the weekend so you could have done a "youth" hunt. We were going to go Sat morning but he stayed at a friends house Fri night which was nice for me and the Mrs. :)

Re: N Florida turkey update

Now I know what to do with my wife s bird bath that has been laying flat in the back yard. Wonder if it is legal to hunt over a bird bath.

Saw two Tom's strutting in a field yesterday and almost hit one with truck this morning kind of close to your place fuzz. Getting frisky indeed.

Re: O/T Cecil the lion - funny how things change

Saw this editorial. Kind of long but thought you guys would like it. In Zimbabwe, We Don’t Cry for Lions By GOODWELL NZOU August 4, 2015 Winston-Salem, N.C. — MY mind was absorbed by the biochemistry of gene editing when the text messages and Facebook posts distracted me. So sorry about Cecil. Did C...

Re: Crossbow for bowfishing

Same here. Rigged out an old Browning compound bow for bowfishing at maybe 40 lb. Haven't done it in a few years. The dad burn squirrels in the shed bit the string in two on the Browning bow so will have to get a new string on it. :?

Re: Deer Season is Over

Good season here. The kid got two nice bucks which makes it great. Plenty of homemade hamburger and patty sausage in the freezer. Going to try dangdest to get in some trigger time with the excal this summer and make bow season 2016. :)

Re: Crossbow vs.Compound Bow.

I love my excal. Can not say that about any verticle Bows I have ever had.

Don't have to spend as much time practicing and hanging around bow shops.

The recovery rate is typically much better with my Excalibur, which is very important to me.

Probably take kid to see it this weekend. First scene would use up all our data for month if we watched it on computer.

Re: 2015 Deer Sightings....

It's been the same with most people I have talked to in my neck of woods. Saw plenty of does and small bucks early on my small lease then dropped way off after thanksgiving. On my place behind house, probably worst in 15 years.

Re: Well it's all over but the cryin

Know the feeling. Work was so busy during bow season 2015 I never even took the excal off the wall. Good to have job security though. :D
