Re: Micro and Quills
I started a thread not too long ago about the accuracy of the 350 gn Quills. I found at 20 yards they didn't group that well with 100 gn points. I tried 400 gn. 2219's and the accuracy was fantastic.

Re: Dissapointed
It was obviously done that way for a reason. Maybe someone with a background in business practices can chime in.
I don't know....if ya can't beat em join em and slowly eliminate the brand...even though Bowtech owns Excal.

Re: Octane dead zone?
I just upgraded my Octane Dead Zone scope to a Nikon Bolt XR. Visually the Nikon is clearer, sharper image. The Octane glass has a yellow hue compared to the Nikon. Speed dial on the Octane, the Nikon does NOT have a speed dial. The 20 and 30 yard marks on the Nikon are spot on for the rated velocit...

Re: Nikon Bolt XR
That's their one downside, no magnification. The distance between aiming points cannot be adjusted to match the speed of a given arrow. If that's an issue take a look at the Hawke 1.5-5 X 32 IR SR. Speed adjustable and illuminated reticule. I had a look at the Hawke you mention but availability up ...

Re: Crossbows across the border
A crossbow is not considered a firearm in Canada. Advise them you have archery gear with you for target shooting or hunting. The receipt is all you need to prove it was brought with you when you arrived. Otherwise US Customs could try and make you pay duty if they think you have purchased it in Can...

Nikon Bolt XR
I trying to find a merchant in Canada who sells the Nikon Bolt XR scope. I've tried Cabela's Canada, which is no longer available. Amazon Canada says they temporary out of stock, but when I add to cart the Canada site states it can't ship to Canadian address (can't figure that one out) so there goes...
