Re: Plastic Nocks
I ordered some GT Laser II arrows recently and when I got them I wasn't too happy with the way they came in. The front brass inserts were already glued in and the back nocks were plastic. :x I've been shooting Luminoks for several years without any issues, but still wanted the regular aluminum flat ...

Re: Twilight dlx Scope
I've got one and I like it. I've used mine for a couple of years and am very pleased. Low light, the big front objective really helps gather the light. Can't say much about the lighted reticle though as I haven't had a chance to use.

Re: Rated R
Hunter Ethics are a big subject in a hunter education course. Basically there is a "standard" code, and then there is another separate code that each person goes by. As others have already said, some would take anal and head shots, some would not. It's up to each person to decide what they...

Re: Anyone still puttin up Stands ?
It's basically just me that I have to worry about on the stands. The boy shows and interest every now and then on going, but it's basically gun hunting and we can do that off the ground in the natural and pop-up blinds I've got set up. Got 2 ladder stands up and that "may be" all that I'm ...

Re: Boofest 2013 photos thread
Dan stopped by the house on his way up and spent a little time here. After he took off last night it occured to me that I forgot to get any pictures of the grizzly old fart!

Re: Hey Vivenmaster and others not able to go to boo fest
Dan stopped by the house Wednesday on his way up to get Danny. I fattened him up a little more, and we each destroyed quite a few brain cells. We shot for a little while Thursday morning, but decided we liked it better in the house in the A/C, so we went back in there. Made a little trip into ...

Re: Are you alone?
Alone here pretty much. Cabelas I think carries them and I know Bass Pro Shop does. But both places are better than an hour drive away from me, with BPS being over across the river in Indiana. Don't know anyone around me where I live or where I hunt that even shoots a crossbow of any type.

Re: trail cam pics
Good luck! I'm running 3 cameras year-round on mineral licks. I just like keeping tabs on the deer and looking at pictures of them. Plus, you always get pictures of other critters too.

Re: Doesn't Look Good
Dan was going to come over to my place and then ride up with me. Last week though, I noticed some weird charges on my bank account. Long story short, someone stole my identity and my debit card info. :x I need to stick around here and get that mess straightened out before I go anywhere. Dan can stil...

Tasty lil farts they are! :) Just the right size for a couple of buttered biscuits.   I've only gotten 1 set of pictures so far this year of a fawn. http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww184/Big58cal/Deer%20Cam/154modified_zps5657ed46.jpg Got a bunch of others of does from behind or...

Not bad Mike. I found one on my cameras that I'm hoping to get a crack at this fall. http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww184/Big58cal/Deer%20Cam/549modified_zps47532a07.jpg http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww184/Big58cal/Deer%20Cam/597modified_zpsc6c903c0.jpg http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww...

Re: Trail/Feeder cams ?
Hey Mike, Bass Pro has the Moultrie D-55IR on sale right now for $80. Not bad for an infrared camera. They take C batteries, but they aren't too bad about using them. One of the cameras I'm running right now is a D-55IR. I have some pictures that it took last year where it triggered when the deer wa...
