One of my sons favorite books , The last of the Mohicans main person is Natty Bumppo, One of his nicknames is Longcarbine. It's better than Natty.

If your arrows are good , you might be canting your bow slightly .Mine at 20yd's doesn't make much of a differance but at 40 it will.

I did it both ways ,It didn't seem to matter much .What I did do was shoot each B.H 9 times [each vane in the slot 3 times] and marking the which one's flew to the same p.o.i My groups went from 5 in. to 2 in. at 40 yards .

I sight in off sand bags ,I practice buy laying out 3 small gunny sacks I stuffed with rags they are about the size 10# bag of flour . Then I [stalk them ] range them and shoot from all type of positions. it looks dumb but thats how I did it with v-bow for 38 years.

My father-in-law is in his 70's and hasn't bow hunted in almost 15 years and dosn't gun hunt much any more because of the cold , WE thought since I can't x-bow hunt in WI. he can. I know what you mean .I was just out west and a guy camping next to me came over with his young son ,saw what I was hunting with and told his son that I was [cheating] I then saw he had a single cam bow, rangefinder on his sight and a trigger release. The next day he told me he missed one at 68 yard...

I felt the same way when my son went over. All I can say is trust in GOD, We do,it helps us to cope with it better even though we know he is in harms way. Bless you and your son for your sacrifices
