Re: broadheads
Always use fresh out the the pouch dental bands before hunting season starts. Dental bands are not FOREVER BANDS and degrade significantly after the hunting season is over. My tip....DON'T buy a 1000 at a time trying to save money because once you open the package degradation starts. Swap to FRESH ...

Re: Felt like a "drug fix " to be in stand tonight
I know the feeling Joe. I have been hunting since 9-10 when it opened here and have passed up shots at so many I lost count just having fun being out again. I finally did pull the trigger last Friday though. Then the work began.

Re: Hunting Blunders. Asking for a friend.
I quite often take a younger guy deer or turkey hunting with me on my club. He lives almost a 1 1/2 hour drive away and always meets me at the club. On 3 separate occasions he has shown up with his camo, tree stand, pee bottle, drinks, etc. but no bow or rifle to hunt with.

Re: Deer meat
I had quadruple bypass heart surgery several years ago and my heart Dr. is totally against eating commercial red meat but has no problems with free range venison. I have always eaten venison but now I eat it more often than not. Venison stew, venison Brunswick stew, venison spaghetti, venison chili, ...

I was a life member of NAHC also. They just died of old age I guess. There one day and gone the next.

Re: Ceasefire Trigger units and new external crank for older Excals
That crank looks interesting. Had I known it was coming, I would have held out and picked one up instead of another Charger EXT. It will certainly fill a market need for those turned off by the cost of the premium model. It may also appeal to those that like to keep things simple, which might be th...

Re: What weight for BH for matrix 380?
I shoot 17" arrows out of my Matrix 350 LE so I would think you will need an 18" for the longer draw length. I am currently using 125 grain heads and a lighted nock to get the total weight up to 449 grains.

Re: Gas prices
Looking at the muscle cars at today's gas prices just about makes me cringe. I remember being 14 in my brother's '62 Chevy SS running a 409 with 2 4s in it and him stomping the gas and watching the gas gauge fall. Gas back then was around $0.25 a gallon. The Chevy averaged 8 mpg.

Re: Rain
Well here in NW Ga I have been waiting and waiting for the rains to stop so I can bushhog the field out back. Finally tried it yesterday and there was still an inch or so of standing water on the creek side of the field. Too hot to do it all so I just cut a little and am about to go try again. Maybe...

Re: Bow sight in
I would say he either has some loose screws on the trigger or scope mount or maybe a bad scope except you are saying he shoots field points well. Have him shoot a group using field points then mechanical broadheads if he has them. They should hit dang close to each other and group about the same. I ...

Pretty sure you can call in that Chupacabra easily. Start with a medium mouth call of Here Kitty Kitty. Works great around here!
