Re: arrow weight
I'm shooting slugged 2213 s from my Vixen . They are 425 grains using 125 gr broadheads. I believe the speed was just slightly above 260 ft per sec.

Re: Slick Tricks shooting like fieldpoints???
On another forum, I read that "Moon" couldn't get regular Slick Tricks to group with his fieldpoints, but that the Razor Tricks do fly as well as field points. He has shot them from multiple bows ranging from 260-380 ft per sec with the same results. Regular Slick Trick Magnums flew accura...

Re: What broadhead do you use ?
I've been bowhunting a LONG time and have killed deer with Hilbre,Bear, Sattelite,Zwickey,Snuffer,Simmons,Thunderheads and Wasp Hammer SST. I've tested various other heads including Magnus,Montecs and Slick Tricks. The last 5 deer were shot with Wasps. If you get them mounted true,(thats why I use a...

Re: what glass to buy
Another call for Leupold Yosemites. Whenever I compared them with Bushnell and Nikons costing 3 times as much, I couldn't believe the price! I bought the 6 x 30 model. Thy Bushnell ey only weigh 17 oz. They are much clearer and lighter than my Bushnell Legends which cost $279 5 years ago. I also hav...

That is one beautiful buck. I love chocolate colored racks! Most of the racks here in Pa are much lighter. Congratulations! Jim M

Hi Ray, I don't post much; just lurk in the shadows. However, you've been an inspiration to me and I'm sure many others on this forum. We love you, and I know that many many prayers are being sent on your behalf. I don't know why bad things happen to good people, but I know that He loves you and tha...

Re: How long can a fellow do this?
It sounds like we have much in common! I'm 71 and I have 16 hang on stands ready to go. I also like to be 20-25 ft. high whenever possible. I hunt both PA and WV. I also ride a bike(bicycle) as much as possible. Hopefully, you have many more years to enjoy our great sport. Remember, inside of every ...

Re: Scent Lock Clothing ??
I first heard about using used tampons from the Wensel brothers. Believe me; they DO attract deer! Once we were in the Black Hills during my wife's period. You should have seen how the male burros reacted! Many bear maulings have involved women at that time of the month. My wife got kind of upset wh...

Re: Moose hunting Video--Would you Have Taken This Shot?
If I'm not mistaken, the hunter is the editor of Bowhunter Magazine. They showed the hunt on their TV show. It looked like a terrible angle. I'm suprised they aired it. Supposedly they did recover the moose. I'd like to say that I'd never take that shot, but maybe adrenaline would overpower common s...

Re: 2213 s
I cut my arrows to 19 inches just so the broadhead does not extend beyond the foot stirrup. They don't seem to shoot any differently at 19 inches than they did at 20 inches. I just put the inserts in an electric drill and filed the lip off as well as tataking some of the centering flange off. I kept...
