Looks promising for the last morning in my turkey season. We put two big fellas to bed tonight and I'll set up within 75 yards in the morning for my second bird for the frezer, at least I hope.
Good luck to all in filling those remaining tags.

I'm well aware that trigger locks are not required. I'm also well aware that some LEOs are not well-versed regarding laws pertaining to the transport of firearms. Having been at the side of the road with a LEO in the past, getting ready to walk into a property I have permission on and having him as...

Man, that's a tough one. Grizz is right, these things happen to all hunters. :( I've always found trigger locks to be a pain the butt, lost keys, wrong keys etc. so I stopped using them altogether years ago. There's always plenty of other things to go wrong. I once sat on a watch while rifle huntin...

Re: Happens all the time with me too!
I hate it when a bird with a brain the size of a pea outsmarts me. I wish they hadn't told us how small the Turkey's brain is in the Seminar...it makes me feel dumb... Easy on yourself, 'Hockey! They ain't smart , brother ... it's all instinct ... all instinct. 8) Too true that by instinct they oft...

This is why we call em smart!
I am hunting about 100 acres, with hardwoods, pines and two meadows, (one large and one small). There are two large groups of pines that separate the two meadows and the birds take to these every night. This morning I jumped into the smaller meadow, set the blind up and got ready. About 7 AM a doe s...
