I bought an ameristep this year, super easy to set up. The fabric looks to be very thin though, I defiantly would not leave it out all season. Ameristep also states that if left out it will deteriorate quickly

Re: How cold is cold for you?
I hunt from a ground blind 99% of the time, so I can really bundle up. Considering my blind is about 70 yards from my back deck I can load it up with goodies to keep comfortable. I'll sit for about 2 hours uncomfortable thats about it.

Re: Ground Blinds
As much as it pains me to say this, ive had a primos double bull blind sitting on my property for 7 years never took it down and never took it out of the elements. At this point its on its last leg but I've got to say it held up good given the circumstances. I had poles break and they always sent me...

Re: Boxing Day
Here in Harnett county we just keep our Christmas lights up all year, that way if we wanna throw a party they're already up, plus Christmas is right around the corner again. You know what we say about loading the dishwasher on christmas day here in the south, thats getting the old lady drunk

Man I wish we had deer that size here in NC. The good news is you can harvest as many does as you like as long as you call them in and get extra doe tags, so the little ladies add up. Awesome buck for sure, congrats

Re: factory vs aftermrkt scope - how much better in low light
I have said this many times, Excalibur scopes are feature rich, and quality poor. They buy them, so no slam against them. I liked every one I ever had, and personally never had a problem with any. The issue is that when they go, there is hardly a warning. I like the Nikon Bolt, and Redfield Revenge...

Re: How many days have you bow hunted for Deer this season?
Best & worse season combined for me. I have had some good sits, but passed on more small bucks than any previous years. I have seen many doe, but zero good shots presented to me. I have seen 6 nice bucks, 3 on neighboring farm, but well within killing range, did not shoot! 2 during gun season, ...

Nocks keep falling out
So I use the NAP shrink wrap fletchings. When I tried to get my nocks out of my arrows BEZ they were impossible to get out not wanting to mess them up just to get them out I opted out of using a pair of pliers. So I go ahead and shrink wrap my fletchings, now the nocks just fall right out. So my que...
