Re: Recurves - How Small, How Light and How Fast?

I would rather see them lighten the darn things up a full pound or so "We can make crossbows light again." Hey peter how bout a micro light ...see it even sounds cool. Instead of adding stuff that makes em quiet n heavy. Make some for the others that are loud n lite!

Untill some space age fiberglass comes about just think since the pre wold war 2 times nothing better has come along untill the carbon thing came about . Lbj ..The pesimist

Re: Anyone shooting "Heavy" bolts?

The best combo is when you get a say 400 fps bulldog or like bow and match it up with a log.......... best of everything still fast . Hits like a ton a bricks. Quiet and easy on the limbs

Re: Setting up a hunting crossbow in "Scout" configuration.

Basically any dedicated modern crossbow scope with "long" eye relief is almost a scout scope anyway. I agree with the above crossbow hunting is a dedicaded aiming process not to be rushed.extending a scope rail whould just interfere with arrow loading and be more trouble than its worth.

For field points....a army navy store 20 dollar duffle bag filled with old clothes WILL STOP THE MOST BAD A$$ CROSSBOW IN ITS TRACKS. FOR BROADHEADS A BLOCK IS GOOD (CROSSBOW) KIND A 100 BUCKS
