Lucky strike, the ringing sound may also be from the stirrup. When you flick it with your finger or another solid object its vibration makes such a ringing sound that would be even louder and longer from the shock of firing the x-bow. That's why I attached a set of limbsaver bolt-on, vertical bow st...

?removing trigger assembly?

I have disassembled my Equinox to add some spray foam to the rail voids as hikerman, enormous, saxman, belt&suspenders and others have talked about on the forum. I know the trigger needs to be removed too, but I never read a step by step how to accomplish that. I see the two allen head bolts tha...

Right on Griz!!! Eternal vigilance is necessary to maintain our freedom and liberty. Plus, we have to be ready, willing and able to fight to maintain it both at home and abroad as our founding fathers and forefathers have done. In addition, we need to return to being "One nation under God"...

Where your STS bumbers contact the string, I'd suggest extending your serving to protect your strands to just past the outer edge of the bumpers. Some of you can do your own serving using what Boo suggested above. But for those who would rather have a local pro shop do it for you, it only cost me $5...

Thanks to "theoldarcher" for Nugget's video on the limb saver crossbow silencers. Very interesting and it's great to hear him speak nationwide in support of crossbow use in state archery seasons. Concerning the string leeches, I chose not to install them due to string add-ons slowing veloc...

I just e-mailed the assemblyman of the district in NY where I own hunting property. I hope our e-mails get them talking about such crossbow legislation. I recently e-mailed the NY. Conservation Dept. and the game biologist that responded said that their Dept. supported the use of crossbows, but that...

Limbsaver crossbow silencer system

While at an archery pro shop today to have my Equinox's serving widened to extend under the STS shock absorber pads, I was noticed this new system for sale. The soft rubber Limbsaver products by Sims Vibration Laboratory are made to reduce shock, vibration and noise. They have been making many such ...

Hi X-bowking. I picked up the new catalog a week ago at a local dealer. I doesn't have the year 2009 on it but it does have the new total camo Equinox model on the cover and contains the new items such as the add-on cheekpiece and the X-tender kit for the rear of the stock. So, it's definitely the '...

I just picked up mine today that I had ordered at a nearby archery pro shop and paid $59.95. The price at Bowhunters Superstore's website is $49.95 but the shipping fee would have put it closer to what I paid anyway.

Welcome to the Excalibur forum family Fishtales. Sounds like you live in a outdoor setting like most of us have always dreamed of. That's a real blessing. Glad the Pa. law change came at the perfect time for you to switch to the crossbow this season. Good Luck my Pa. brother. :)

Thanks for the post about the book. Looks like a very interesting, fact-filled source about horizontal bows. I also noticed on your post that your "location" refers to the state of Michigan. If you didn't register yet for an Ex-Blast newsletter through your e-mail, it just announced that t...

I saw and handled the new cheek piece and rubber buttplate extension kit at Excalibur's display at the Pittsburgh sports show last weekend. Peter said they would definitely fit my crossbow's thumbhole stock. The check pieces added height and width does comfortably align your face and eyes better wit...
