I'm right there with you..
I like to practice at least once a week during hunting season.
Saturday I moved my target out to 50 yards to make sure everything is precise.
If I'm confident at 50 yards, then shooting a deer at 30 or 35 yards is much easier.

New trail camera should be here Tuesday.
One of my 3 cameras is giving out on me so I purchased a new Bushnell Core DS Low Glow 30MP off ebay for 151.00
Hoping it's as reliable as my other two Bushnellls have been.

Moved my hunting blind.
I built an enclosed blind a couple years ago and placed it where my favorite tree stand used to be. Last year was a little slower and was no sign of any scrapes so we moved it a couple weeks ago. I hunted Tuesday evening and realized I had a problem when the does started bedding down 35 yards from m...

Re: Suggestions for excalibur next model
As said many times.... A true ultralite skeltonized model made literally as light as possible in about 310 - fps also small but easy enough that a cranker is not needed (that would defeat the purpose) Carbon fiber? Whatever titanium fasteners ,machined to the bear minimum...why not try it no one ha...

Re: Greetings
I will be doing much better when I get back to Wisconsin and close to my cabin for hunting season ;) Living in this 3 bedroom house of our daughters rent free is ok.... but they grow medicinal pot and the whole house (our clothes included) smell like a pot factory. If we ever get pulled over a polic...

Re: OT/Burning wood
We just sold our house last December so I no longer burn firewood, but did for many years. Oak makes a good firewood to use at night when you want a nice bed of coals left in the morning. Oak also needs to be split and dried for a couple years. You won't heat a house very fast with only oak though, ...

Re: I found my way back. lol
The county I live in currently has the #1 or #2 highest cases in Michigan.
I spent a couple weeks pressure canning various soups and stuff after the virus first broke out in China.
Pretty much camping out at home and roaming our 3 acre yard with the dog.

Re: Multiple crossbows
My first crossbow was the Matrix 310. Then I picked up a poop brown Vixen to target practice with when I had hernia surgery. :eusa-whistle: Then I added the Matrix 330 because... well, you know. :eusa-drool: Then I sold the Vixen because the wife said I had too many! Then I sold th...

Re: Crossbow prices
I think I will just stick with my Matrix 310.
It has taken several deer in the 5 years I have had it and is a pleasure to cock and shoot.
