Re: Darn Hogs!!

Being from pa we dont have hogs .....so a change of pace shooting a hog would be quite welcome for me.!...see its a matter of perspective I like hunting them but they really do mess up the deer woods. Unbelievable how much damage they do not to mention how much food they rob from the other wildlife...

Firebolt FOC

I'm using Excalibur Firebolt arrows, .300 Crossbow Nufletch Ignitor nocks (39 gr.), and 100 grain mechanical broadheads in my Exomax. They perform well and I get complete pass through at 20 to 30 yards. Accuracy is good and I attribute any lack of consistency on my shooting technique, etc. Never tho...

Exomax POI

Replaced the limbs on my Exomax and was pleasantly surprised the POI had not changed. Was dead on at 20 and 30 yards. Didn’t shoot any farther since 30 yards is my furthest shot at my hunting spots. Got busy shooing my brother-in-law’s Beagles out of the way and shot it without an arrow in it. The r...

An ADF scope mount is priceless! :)
Put one on my Exomax after I dry fired it a couple of times. Cheap and reliable insurance!!

Bought a set of blemished limbs for it while they are still available. When I quit hunting I'll pass it on to my grandsons.

Season Looking Good!!

Just got back from setting up my Ameristep Doghouse blind, putting down corn and setting up a few cameras at a friends place. This is the back of a sub-division I have been hunting. Killed two there last year. I am always surprised how close the main deer trail is to the back of his house. Can't be ...

Re: Micro 335 Limb Failure

Do call Dawn!! She is great to work with.

Buying a set of blemished limbs is a very good idea!! I even bought a set for my Exomax.

Re: Battery cover

My experience with aluminum threads tells me it may of been cross threaded once or the threads were cut rough.

Apply 600 grit lapping compound to the cover and thread it on and off until it is ok.

Use the lapping compound sparingly!!

Craigslist Exomax

Five years ago I found and purchased an Excalibur Exomax off Craigslist. This was back before I knew anything about crossbows or Excalibur. Crossbows here were very scarce on Craigslist then. It has proven to be an excellent crossbow and is a proven deer killer. Now there are all kinds of Excalibur ...

Re: For those with an Ameristap Doghouse blind - what is this for?

If you break the fiberglass poles replace them with these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B017QTYB8Y/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8 The Doghouse poles are 8 feet long so I bought their 11.3 foot poles and cut to fit. Great replacement poles for a Doghouse Blind. I’ve read where some guys paint t...

Sassy Deer

Wonder what he was trying to say!! https://i.imgur.com/07YGZtb.jpg By the way the $25.00 Tasco 6mp cameras at WalMart are an excellent deal. I use them in risky areas where theft can be a problem. Not bad for a $25.00 camera. They have excellent detection, fast trigger and a good flash. Night exampl...

I use this:

Get it at WalMart. Works great here in NE Oklahoma. This area is Tick city!!
