Sounds like a partial dry-fire, the arrow was not against the string when the trigger was pulled. Put blue Locktite or fingernail polish on all screws, take stock off and do the 2 trigger screws.

I like the idea of working out to a 100 yds. The new scope for my 380 should be here next week, but I will not have time to hit the range for any 50 plus yard shots before Boofest.
I'll bring my portable bench, lead sled and a target or 2.

You can pretty much leave your bow strung indefinitely as long as it is not going to be subjected to extreme heat (Treat your bow like your pet dog, don't ever leave them strung in a vehicle in the hot sun!). Think I'm going to pick up a box and add it to the target next time I replace the cardboard target face. Hopefully it will help keep the bugs from making a home come fall.
