Am I crazy for even thinking about this beast? I really only hunt deer with my Phoenix but it also can be called up to active duty as a backup bow to my compound and I do hunt moose every now and then. Anybody ever take a moose with a phoenix?

Slick tricks kill very quickly and never fall apart. They leave a hole like a shotgun slug.

A buddy of mine shoots a Paradox and its no toy but its the simplicity of the recurved excaliburs that I like. You also have to ask yourself how deep in the ground you want your arrow to dig itself after the passthru?

Funky strings look kool and they confuse the deer, makes them think no person with such a funky set of strings would have any aggression in them. Also makes the strong gamey taste go away, honest Are your fruit of the looms all the same color? Live a little, be crazzzy !!

I also watched that show. Shockey is my favourite TV hunting show guy. He seems to have a darn good time doing what he does and doesn't seem to imply he has invented sport hunting. I don't consider myself a trophy hunter. Any deer is a trophy with archery tackle IMHO.

In my admittedly limited time here I have seen no problems with how this site is moderated. Some one has to keep an eye on things to keep it civil, there are ladies and children who log in here.

There are a couple of weather proof ones on the market now. Might be worth considering if you carry it hunting alot.
