Re: For those who don't visit the "Other Topics"
Great news, Dan! Wishing you a quick and full recovery! A friend at work had emergency quintuple bypass done in 2006. He just retired earlier this year at 65 but he's still going strong and doing well 12 years after the surgery.

Re: Update on my brother Wayne
I am so sorry to hear this. My heart and prayers are with you and your family. Sometimes it seems there is no justice in this world, but the ones who did this will answer for it one way or another.

Re: wow what happened while I was gone
... Its retained ZERO of its famous past high performance models, all completely gone. It is not just Excalibur. We are currently living in the most consumptive and wasteful period this world has ever experienced. It no longer matters that "it" works well. It must be new! Well said, In th...

Glad you're going to be ok. Copperheads are kinda ornery, like a moccasin. They make nice hatbands though

Re: Slow Motion Crossbow Video
Pretty neat videos, Paul! I can't believe how much the gap between the rail and riser widens, looks likes its going to come right off The frankenbow looks pretty smooth, nice work there

Re: Breaking nocks
I get slight rub marks on the sides my knocks where they contact the rail, and I also use the Black Eagle knocks I bought when I bought my shafts. I always thought it was normal wear and marking from the knock contacting the rail. But I never got any chipping or damage though, makes me think the arr...

Re: Nock weight
I did sort of the same thing... shaved a tad off a lead pellet to get the weight right and super-glued it inside the nock. I made a few of them and it works well.

Re: CHRONOGRAPHS
I've had the ProChrono Digital for a few years, have been super happy with it. I also reload and it's been an invaluable tool for that. I use mine outdoors so I haven't needed a light kit yet...

Re: United States Postal Service WTH
USPS leaves a lot to be desired in a number of categories, but their tracking systems flat out sucks. I've had packages get here way sooner than the tracking said to expect it, and i've had packages pass through the hub 30 minutes down the road and end up in some infernal loop for a week in Dubuque ...

Re: Are we nuts?
Great observations Don. I liken it to the magnum gun hype, where the marketing guys have you believing you have to have a 454 Super Ultra Mag to reliably take that 90 pound doe at 50 yards. Or the $5 apiece super heat seeking exploding full penetrating ballistic rocket tipped bullets to take game. I...

Re: My 380 is a 380!
I can see the limbs being lower poundage causing slower speed, but the riser? I realize I've been out of the loop a bit but they change riser design on the 380 at some point?

Re: So Maybe
Dan, before you swap any parts out why not chrono a 350 grain arrow just to get a baseline and see where you're at. Just a thought.
