Re: Dr. Sturup DB Killer Etc.

Wow.....I looked at the videos and was amazed. The cocking rope is the thing that interests me the most. I am of shorter stature so I had to adjust my cocking rope and I have to pull on my string quite a bit to hook my rope cocker. This makes it difficult for an even pull on both limbs. I almost hav...

No doubt, mechanical blades are very efficient. But I don't hunt deer.....I hunt moose.

Re: scope covers

What are bikini style scope covers? Are they the ones with the elastic between the two covers? If so, they are the kind I like best with see=through yellow lenses.

Re: Any of you guys run stock pads on your Excal?

Since reading this intervention, I decided to buy a Voodoo Tactical Army Padded Stabilizer Rifle Cheek Rest (Black) for my rifle and Crossbow. 9.50 Canadian plus 5 dollars shipping. Cheaper than building one with hockey tape and foam.

Re: back from quebec

I live in the Saguenay region of Quebec and over the past 30 years, there are more and more bears. I know of people who buy the're bear permits but not many are serious about it. Where I hunt, the permit is good for spring and fall. Last fall, one bear came up to about 4 feet from me before I waved ...

Re: Where can I shoot my bow around toronto?

When talking with bow shooters, they all say that bows shoot arrows that are just as fast than crossbows. They also add that arrows from bows go further and penetrate deeper. With that in mind, why do they complain that crossbow arrows do more damage to targets? I would even be willing to take my ta...

Re: Turkey day molested by the lady warden

Sometimes I'm sad by the way hunters are treated in Canada and each of the provinces when I see how americans can have fun with firearms and then....I'm sad by the way there are too many obscure unreasonable rules in the U.S.

Too early for fly fishing in my region. Everything is still all frozen up so it's ice fishing for brook trout. Minus 10 Celsius here tonight. It may get up above freezing during the day.

Re: exomax

I have a Vortex and love it. I had a triple bypass operation and my sternum did not weld together. I was wary of cocking the Vortex but it's no problem even though I am short and close to 70 years old. I have no intention of changing for something else. I bet that my Vortex would even survive dry fi...

Re: Side by Side Comparisons-your thoughts?

Dependability is my main concern. Garanties, customer service, fast turn around don't mean rabbit droppings to me when I am hunting moose north of the 50 th parallel (5 hours drive from home). Even if I do go back to town, there is no way in hell that the local sellers will replace my crossbow on th...

Re: New Equinox

I bought a Vortex and my son bought an Equinox a few years ago. Both crossbows are as accurate as .22 rifles and we have had no changes in point of aim and not even the tiniest problem with our crossbows. I have the vari-zone scope and my son has the scope with internal lighting.
