Re: Question on Tact Zone speed settings

The numbers on my TZ's both go down to 275... But the zoom ring goes quite a ways past the numbers until it stops. So I wonder if the scopes only marked to 300fps will still turn down past the numbers??..Seems logical? If the scopes are still 2.5X to 6 power variable. Here is my 100yard setting and ...

Re: Ever cut your string?

I have broadhead bumped my string a few times but thankfully have not cut one yet. Easiest way to cut one that I have found is by shooting a carbon with a "ever-so-slightly" fractured shaft at the nock end. Check your nocks EVERY time. Twist the nock, and if it rotates with a medium force ...

Re: Slick Trick blade orientation

Look closely at the blade retention washer!! There is a flat side and a round side. Make sure that the flat side is against the arrow insert. This really seems to make a difference with the ST's. Wish that this was mentioned on the package..lol

Re: Photobucket Acct.

Yep..F photobucket. Pictures are so easy to load and most forums on the net provide a free hosting service. PhotoBucket's intrusive adds and extended load times, have stopped me from even viewing guys links for a few years now. Now there is literally thousands of dead photos all over the net. http:/...

Re: MT Pronghorn Forum Hunt

I'm sorry too guys...I also got wrapped up in work and ranch duties. I realized my error at about 6PM on the deadline day. So I missed my "landowner preference" opportunity (which has to be done by paper application and Greatly increases chance of me getting a tag)...I did manage to get my...

Re: SEW, please read this and give me your input

It's a well known fact that helical vanes act like weight in the back of the arrow which causes helical vaned arrows to require more FOC than offset or straight vaned arrows. This in and of itself should give credence that helical orientation has more drag. The "lift" just spins the arrow...

Re: SEW, please read this and give me your input

Isn't there quite a difference between the physics of "deflection" and "lift"?? Seems to me that a true curved helical vane is actually creating, and being spun by lift. Each curved vane is actually a little wing. With the ability to create a low pressure in top of the vain and h...

Re: Magnus Bull Head combo

I've had nice accuracy with the 100gr heads out of my M380. I use 18" Zombies and the heads need to be timed exactly right in order to clear the stirrup. Took 2 toms with them and was very happy with there performance. Both times it broke the heads.(probably from the ground) Magnus will suppose...

Re: toxic broadheads

I've gone from Slick Tricks (which are one of the absolute best broadheads) to Toxics about three years ago. The toxics are simply one of the toughest, most effective broadheads out there. Be cautious about where you buy them as they're being pirated out of China. The Chinese knock offs are copying...

Kong..So Sad!

Found 2 of these poor Kong bows on ebay...hope the buyer knows how to fix the brace height  It will surely make a mess of its' self (and possibly the shooter) if fired in this condition  I did contact the sellers, but only one replied and said he would inform the buyer. http://castboolits....
