Re: Bolts for Grizzly and Axiom
Have to use a 20 inch bolt for the Axiom and it looks like I can use 18 or 20 for the Grizzly. Just have to keep total weight above 350 for either one. So, yes I can use the Axiom bolt on the Grizzly. Do you concur?????

Bolts for Grizzly and Axiom
Can I safely use the same bolts (length and weight) for a Grizzly and a Axiom?

Re: indexing arrows
I index my single shot rifles, even index my reloading, I also weigh every power charge, cases, bullets and sometimes primers. It cuts my 200 yard groups down from 1.0 inch to 0.75. Is it worth it? Not for a hunting rifle, but for me....yes. When you index your bolts, how much do you reduce your 5 s...

Re: indexing arrows
So, you have indexed your arrows. How much difference does it make in your 5 shot group at 40 yards?

Re: X-Bow noise, I saw the light
It is the noise when the steel pin releases the string. You can hear it on the instruction video that Excal has on their website. It is a noise I never noticed before and I see no way to alleviate it.

X-Bow noise, I saw the light
I have done about everything to quite my Axiom. Finally noticed the noise while I de-cocked it. The BIG twang is when you pull the trigger and the string releases. There is no way to quiet that! Maybe a Flemish string would help a little. Anyway, I had a deer "jump the string" again this y...

Re: Need help with Spitfires
3/16 med or heavy on e-bay from China. $1.00 for a lifetime supply. Can't hurt. Recurve starts fast and slows down, compound starts slow and speeds up. That puts a lot of stress on retainer clips. Put the bands on the shaft, screw on head and roll band down over head. On impact they just roll up the...

Un-string a Recurve for Off Season
I have way too much time in the stand. Got to thinking (dangerous) does it make sense to remove the string on a re-curve for off season storage? Don't see where relaxing the limbs can hurt.

That sounds good, now how does the trigger group come out? Does somebody have a drawing or a video?

Excal Triggers
We have 2 Axioms, one had a decent trigger the second is creepy and heavy. I realize I can get a Trigger Tech, but wonder if there is anything I can do to the factory trigger. I haven't even figured out how to get it out to work on it.

Re: Arrow drop shooting up hill
Think of it this way. If you were shooting straight up in the air, you would not aim high or low. If you were shooting straight down, you would not aim high or low. Shooting up hill or down hill, there is not as much drop as shooting level. Same with a rifle. If you shoot perfectly level and drop an...

Re: Crisis At The Canadian Border
Love the humor, but what is not funny are the demonstrations going on in the cities. I realize it is the result of the Democratic breeding program, however I don't recall anything like this happening in "fly over America",when Barry won in 08 and 12. News story this morning reported that t...

Re: Thoughts on wrapping the stirrup in paracord?+checkingSc
To avoid the possibility of vanes hitting the para cord wrapped stirrup, I used foam pipe insulation with the adhesive and then wrapped it all with plastic electricians tape. I was careful not to build up the top of the stirrup. I can replace or add to the electricians tape when it wears.

Re: Older Excalibur Bows
I have an Axiom and like the accuracy and ease of cocking... and uncocking. Excalibur made their reputation with these long limbed bows! How much harder do the short bows cock? I have been thinking about a Grizzly or ???????
