Re: The best hunting hrs.
Sat 6 to 10.
Getting ready to leave, moving around in tripod. Snort at about 60. Go figure 8 ptr. bounds away. I swore I checked every direction twice .
Sit another hr. , see nothing . 1/2 way down ladder. Snort. Again.
Couldn't get it right this am.

We all know getting into your stand a good 1/2 hr before daylight We all know we should stay in your stand till you can't see to shoot. Of course shooting only during legal hrs. I guess I'm asking if anyone has any good luck on a midday hunt Not that I believe or use a lunar chart to determine my hu...

Re: This is over the top...
Deer get acclimated to various sounds etc. Vehicles on roads, trains etc. one i noticed this yr. Lots of acorns dropping. Several dinking off the metal of the tree stand. Surprisingly, the deer didn't spook off. But rub cloth or the camo fabric, heads jerk up and leg stomps. In AZ. One would think t...

Fairly common actually. Not all does go into heat at the same time. It can span 2 to 3 months.
Same holds true for fawning season.
Seeing fawns in Sept. Is pretty cool though !

Re: VORTEX CROSSFIRE II CROSSBOW SCOPE QUESTION
I thought the 20 yrds mark above the center 40 , actually give you a clearer shot picture , for the close shots.. And the same for the 60 yrd. Below, for the long shots.
Give it a try. Scope probably be easy enough to sell here. If it doesn't work for you.

We tend to air out our camo. Will spray with the 10 day gold and each evening just hang outside or under porch.

Good luck, still a few weeks away for Wisc. Season.
Practiced a few shots , shooting lefty. Still hit within an inch. , so good to go , even if they do come in on blind side.

Re: Swat thoughts
In my carry along bag , I've always got several packages of my older broadheads. Most are usually the leftovers. Like this trip 2 wac ems , 3 slik triks , 2 swat hybrids. 2 spitfire.. 2 grave diggers hybrids. I always carry an assortment. I'll even stick one on and have in quiver sometimes. So the o...

Re: Swat thoughts
Reading reviews. Not necessarily swat but all broadheads get some sort of negative reviews. Could be a manufactors problem, a flight or angle problem, arrow alignment, etc. , thats the reason for the failure. Over the yrs, like most of you ,I've used dozens of different brands. Never really have muc...
