Re: Why so much upgrading??
I think upgrading, customizing and tinkering is part of the enjoyment of owning an Excalibur and it can all be done without a press or worrying about cam timing and the like. I've owned my 350 for about year, I've added Danny Miller's bumpers, and an adf (after I dry fired it once, which I thought I...

Re: xb 30 pro vs crossbones
Just got my new Hawke mounted on the 350. Haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet, but I do think I'm really going to like lighted reticle.

Re: SEW, please read this and give me your input
Would a heavier or lighter arrow or a lighter poundage bow yield the same results?

I just wanted to thank everyone on this forum for all the help and answers I've gotten here. It's nice to get actual answers and different opinions without all the whining and arguing like on some other archery sites.

Re: xb 30 pro vs crossbones
After reading every thread and review I could find I've finally decided on the Hawke xb 30 pro. It seems every time I thought I had my mind made up I would read something else and change my mind. I think the price I got and the lighted reticle is what finally won me with the Hawke. I like the idea o...

xb 30 pro vs crossbones
I was getting ready to upgrade my deadzone scope. I am considering either an xb 30 pro or a crossbones. I found them both at around the same $230 price. I know the Leupold doesn't have the lighted reticle. Just wanted to hear some other's opinion of the two. Thank you

Re: Scopes?
I was thinking of upgrading to a hawke xb 30 pro from a deadzone too. Do you need new rings or will it mount to the same rings without a problem?

Re: Rubber boots
I have a pair of Rocky Gamechangers. I've had them about 4 or 5 years for hunting and construction and they've held up nicely. They're good for what they are but I wouldn't recommend them below freezing.

Re: Recurves - How Small, How Light and How Fast?
Maybe you could sandwich a thin strip of titanium or other light flexible metal in the center of an Excalibur limb.

Re: Old bear recurve
I used a heat gun and believe I got the limbs pretty straight. Heated them up, twisted it straight and then clamped it down to a table to help hold it straight overnight. I plan to finish lightly sanding it and putting a nice satin finish on it. I'll post some pictures once I get it looking and shoo...

Re: Old bear recurve
It does have a small twist in the limbs. I've done a little research and am going to hopefully straighten it up with a little steam. The twist isn't that bad and I hope I can resurrect this old bow and put her back to some good use.

Old bear recurve
I was given an old bear recurve. From what I've been able to find I believe it was made somewhere between 1970-1972 (please chime in if I'm wrong). I'm currently in the process of lightly sanding and refinishing it. I plan on sanding it just enough to remove the old finish and get all of the crackli...

Re: Excalibur 350 SE
I came real close to buying a turbo gt and also ended up with a 350. Great bow, great price. I'm shooting 17" zombies with a 110gr. insert and a 100gr. broadhead (rage hypodermic at the moment). I put some buggy bumpers,a Flemish string and some Dr. Stirrup DB Killers on it. Couldn't ask for a ...
