Thanks for the generous offer, Anthony, but I'm way down in swamps of Cumberland County. I do appreciate it, though.

Re: Ghost blind question
Now you've got me thinking about buying one (for next year, this year's hunting gear budget has been seriously blown!). The one big question I've had about the Ghost Blind has been about sun glare, both at first light and late in the day.

Re: Tomorrow's Her Big Day...Passed it!
Thanks, again, for the kind words.
Marlene has been pheasant hunting with me for about 10 years, and we used to rifle hunt in Pennsylvania until the couple we rented the cabin from both passed away within less than a year of each other. They were fine folks and we miss them.

Re: Tree stand vs blind
The Doghouse is a solid blind for the money. Mine has been through three seasons and still in good shape. Was too small for hunting with a vertical bow, but came in handy for shotgun season. My wife will be hunting from it with her Excalibur this year, and I'll be taking to the trees.

Re: Tomorrow's Her Big Day...Passed it!
Passed with flying colors! Then on to the nearest sports shop to buy her license. All of your wishes for good luck must've helped :D . (thanks for that!) I was surprised to see all the crossbows there, they outnumbered compounds. However, only one other Excalibur, other than my wife's. Another bowhu...

Tomorrow's Her Big Day...Passed it!
Tomorrow, Oct. 1st, "The Mrs.", with her Axiom, takes her test to get her first-ever bowhunting license. I'm confident I'll have a new huntin' and Excalibur totin' buddy.

Re: Think before you buy neoprene boots
My problem is that I wear a size 14EE, and nobody seems to offer neoprene boots in sasquatch sizes.

Re: Axiom Rail
My wife shoots an Axiom, and is really happy with it. I don't see any downside to to the SMF construction. It's a solid performer. In fact, last night we were picking up some last-minute scent control products at the local Dick's, and spoke with a man and his teen-age son who were considering the pu...

Re: New Brunswick Goes Full Inclusion
Glad to hear it! As I sit here reading this, there's a big 11-pointer looking down upon me from the living room wall. He was shot near Harvey Station, New Brunswick by my late father in 1957, the year of my birth. (Mom never forgave him for leaving her at home with a newborn baby.)

My guns in the safe were all bought used.
My wife's shotgun and rifle were bought new.
What gives?

Re: New Huntress
Every mother should be so fortunate to have a son like you. My wife will be accompanying me into the woods this year, toting her new Excalibur (and she's 65). So let Mom know she has a kindred spirit out there.

And on the way home, I bought a used 15' Grumman canoe.
