Re: Do big bucks grunt louder than small bucks
I used to hunt with a guy near Dutton Ontario and he shot some big bucks in MZ season. The best story he tells is of a nice 8 point coming out grunting and he shot it. He was party hunting so he reloaded and waited. About 15 minutes latter he heard a loud bellow like an elk almost a roar. Then the b...

Re: Wild Turkey Recognized in New Brunswick
"After all, the
legal requirement for non-residents to be accompanied by a guide
when hunting or angling in the province exists in large part in order to
prevent offences by non-residents. "
That is a quote straight from their web site !

Re: Wild Turkey Recognized in New Brunswick
I read the act just to see and found this very interesting. I believed that they want a guide because they view all NRs to be potential poachers but they claim its to enhance a NRs experience then I read this "After all, the legal requirement for non-residents to be accompanied by a guide when ...

Re: Wild Turkey Recognized in New Brunswick
Ya that guide thing sucks. My nephew invites me every spring to hunt bears but he doesn't have the time or interest to get the guide license or be able to guide me. He has several 400 pounders on cam every spring too ! I guess the DNR in NB thinks all non-residents are poachers when actually its my...

Re: O/T Shotgun Turkey Hunters
Now I pracrice in the garage, or the truck when I'm running errands. Man do I get some stares when I'm at a light calling.  That didn't take long lol There was a story from a guy that was sitting a store parking lot practicing with his trumpet call. A police officer approached him becaus...

Re: 2020
I had a buddy in Texas that I hunted turkey on his lease. 100 bucks for 4 rio's pretty tough to beat that low price for a turkey licence and he charged me a small fee for his utilities while I was there for a week . He actually offered me to join his lease year round for 1200 bucks for the time I co...

Re: 2020
In Ontario archery moose hunting opportunities are expanding for 2020. The gun draws are very congested and they’re hoping to convert some hunters to the archery draws. I apply for archery moose every year but can’t wait to see the new draws for 2020 this spring and get planning. I stopped bow hunt...
