This time it did not. My niece was killed last week during the Kentucky gun season.

I agree , usually deer pay very little attention to gut pile etc. But ... We have a large coyote population , and the gut pile brings extra coyote action , that spooks the deer out for a few days . Give it a few more days and all will return to normal .... At least thats what I have experienced on ...

Great Mike P Story in Horizontal Bowhunter
I just received my Fall issue of HBM and found a great article written by Mike P called the grey face. There is a picture of Mike with the buck and the buck is HUGE! He really does have a grey face (the buck, not Mike P, lol) and I can see how he was named. I hope he continues to post his tales here...

when i first got my excal i posted the same thing here on the forum....
if you are used to a quiet compound the excal sounds like a gun going off....
after a week of shooting the thing you seem to forget all about the noise as the arrow keeps hitting the bullseye......

cocking any of the excals without the cocking aid just leads to poor shots from my experience as you just dont get the string centered as well.....
