Re: Locking your climber
It's a real shame that you have to lock your stuff up and still worry that someone will still and try to steal your stands. Like Jansey said in his thread you can use harden chain which I have used. As far has climbers I take mine in and out. One way is to buy cheaper stands. Over the years I went t...

Re: Cold rainy windy day in se pa
Yeah I got up this morning and it was raining pretty good. I thought it would let up but it stayed raining for a while. So I decided I would go later today and was hoping they were wrong about the winds. Well the winds came and it was blowing good. One of my buddies called and off to the woods but n...

Re: Baiting
When they allowed us to bait in Pa. a few years back I used regular corn and would mix it with Agway Deer corn which is coated with molasses. I would put a little bit in a pile not much and I would throw the rest close to the stand. I would make them look for it. The amount would be in the plastic b...

Re: Anyone Puttin up Stands while the Season Opened
Most of my stands are set for the season a few pole saw trimming. I do move some around on an occasion. I do have a few more to put on a couple of property's that I have not been to yet. This weather finally broke a bit and it will be a lot better. I enjoy this part of the hunt setting them up and t...

Re: NAP Spitfire Shooters . . .
Sorry Ecks. Thanks for the info. I have been shooting them for years and they are a great broadhead in my opinion. I have shot them in my compound and when I jointed the Excalibur family they shot real good in my Vortex. Now I'm a Micro 335 guy and love that exbow. They do some real damage. Good luc...

Re: NAP Spitfire Shooters . . .
Yeah that's a good deal. They had that last year and I picked up a few packs. When they go off sale it is still a good deal at $39.00 dollars for 4 per pack. Thanks for the heads up Anthony.

Re: Decocking micro 335
Like some of the other guys are saying. I have had no problems at all and as long as you keep your string tight and make sure you push down on the anti fire you will be fine.

Re: Bolts for Black Bear
I shot my Bear with factory arrows (Firebolts) and my broadhead was NAP Spitfire MAX 125 grain. They now have them in a crossbow head. Just heavier retention clip. My shot was about 28 yards and the Arrow when right thru the Bear. The Bear went about 40 yards. I was shooting a Excalibur Vortex. The ...

Re: Any New Gear??
My new gear for this year is a Hunter Safety Hanger System. This is a great idea they came up with when hanging your treestands. In the past I have used a bag and it worked but not like this system. Check it out on the web and if you get one you will like it.

Re: Advise on Micro
I own a 335 Micro and love that xbow. It's a great treestand and blind bow. I have not shot or pulled back the 355. I let a buddy shoot it and he went out a bought the 335. He could not believe how his first shots at 40 yards were so accurate. Good luck with your decision.
