Re: School Project with crossbow got shot down
Just tell the teacher that you saw them in the lounge being cozy with another teacher, and if you don't get an A+ you will tell her husband, now that's leverage! Seriously, if you could make up some type of cocking device using the fulcrum principle of leverage, I think the project would possi...

Re: A New Predator Wanders In...
In Eastern pa .l see foxes that just dont look like foxes. Red but coyote looking features and just plain bigger than a regular fox. Awhile back I shot a coyote while hunting deer across from the Pocono Raceway. It was red but didn't look like any coyote I have ever seen, the nose was a lot shorter...

Unfortunate, but there is also a lot of competition out there, they aren't the first and they won't be the last.

Re: Great deal on Rocket Hammerheads!
Thanks for the heads up, I ordered some to try after reading decent reviews on them. Seems like just about everyone says to double band them, will do and go from there.

Re: Here I sit!!
I guess i am also guilty of bein a wimp, once my cripped left hand gets in the 20's it draws up like claw n hurts terrible bad. Once my hands n feet get so cold they all hurt badly its all i can think about is the hurt. Not worth tryin to hunt at that pt. I want to enjoy my huntin not be lover of p...

Did you make it to Maine, waiting for the report/stories unless I missed it. I see you are still posting so at least we know you didn't get trampled by a Moose!

Re: Replacement limbs!
Thanks again, you are also saying the same as jansey said, when several people agree on a subject I tend to believe it to be fact. Apparently I will end up being satisfied with what I got, sure hope so! I'm 71, and at the max length of cocking these limbs don't seem to load up as much as the other o...

Re: Replacement limbs!
My mistake, should have chronographed and would have something to go by. Like I said, I may be making a mountain out of a molehill, all I wanted was the equivalent limbs that were on the bow, not faster, not slower, just equal, I was extremely happy with what I had. Jansey really put my mind to rest...

Re: Replacement limbs!
Thanks for the replies, yes somewhere down the road I will chronograph it and see exactly where I'm at. It may be my imagination, but when I got home and cocked it it just didn't seem to have the same stiff feel as the old limbs when I got near full draw. Thanks again for the replies, hopefully when...

Replacement limbs!
I'm sure this has been discussed before, but here goes! When returning a splintered limb to have the set of limbs replaced, is it too much to ask for a set of limbs that are at least "EQUAL" to the set of limbs that were on the bow from new, I just had a set replaced that were more or less...

Congrats on the buck!
I see the rope cocker by the bow, please don't tell me that you can cock that 380 by yourself!!

Re: Excalibur purchase!! Next steps? :)
A stringing aid is a must have for sure, I would also buy an extra string and carry it along in the field.
I sight mine in using a front and rear rest just like a rifle, no need to buy a lead sled!

Re: Greeting from a new member...
Welcome Steve: Like you I read a lot of posts on here before I invested in a crossbow, I like the simplicity of the recurve concept and high praise of Excalibur's customer service. I'm 71, in somewhat decent shape, and I went with the Matrix 380 and am very happy with it. Like the way more knowledge...
