Excal should have one with every bow they sell.....

Re: Advertised Speed?

After I tag out this year I'm going to check the speed on my 405. I am shooting 507 grain bolts and expect it to be somewhere in the 340-345 range. I wonder,,,have you ever figured out your foot pounds of energy your producing? It has to be awesome knockdown power. :) Pull up Easton or Gold tip and...

Re: I Shoveled Some Topics Down

Sorry for all the "bumps", but I shovelled some topics down to the bottom of the forum. They hopefully will stay there, or fall further down. They really don't deserve to take up space amidst the information sharing and camaraderie that usually takes place here. It is presumptuous of me, ...

Re: Advertised Speed?

If I understand correctly and I believe I'm right excalibur sells there xbows with a hardier type string. If you want advertised fps you would need to get the Flemish type string. And then it varies depending on weights of bolts and heads. No string made is going to close the gap,. limbs are the is...

Re: Advertised Speed?

Advertised speed was damn near perfect with the long limb bows, and I tested them all with 350gr arrows, the Exomax did 350fps with a 350gr arrow, they all were with in a few ft.plus or minus. The long limbs it seems to me were more evenly matched and did what was advertised. The Matrix changed thin...

Re: Matrix Brace Height

Correct Brace Height to me is the distance between where the rail meets the riser and the serving, 5/8 to 3/4 shoots as good as it gets on my matrix, that also gives you enough air between bumpers and string and it has no effect on anything.

Re: What Is Your Arra Recipe?

I've gone to the Easton legacy 20 series, My 18'' 2020's are 381gr's complete. I've tested these most the summer and bar none nothing has cut the air or penetrated targets as deep as these. Two, three or four blade bh's don't effect accuracy, I only use COC fixed blades and FOC is 12 to 14%. Wes

Re: Just got off the phone with Dan Miller

I thought he was gonna send me some serving wax, but now he says he doesn't want me to use anything on the serving or the rail. He says to use wax on the string but not the serving. I realize this will help keep debris out of the trigger mechanism, but I'm wondering how much this will affect arrow ...
