I haven't yet tried it with the crossbow but used to hunt them a lot when I hunted with a recurve. Had a ball. Just used blunts, judo or field tips.

I always sit to shoot as I seem to gain a bit of accuracy that way. However, I do recall one time having a buck come in directly behind me. I stood, turned (which wasn't easy being in a twin maple) and shot that 8 pointer while he was eating pin oak acorns.

3 weeks in northern Ontario moose hunting - 1 week alone and the second week with 2 hunting friends and the third week with another friend. All of this time was spent in a Prospector tent in the bush. Now that sounds like a great hunt! One of the best vacations I ever had was time spent just like t...

Sad story indeed.

The only way we were able to corral these type of folks and general trespassers was go get hardball with them. We also convinced a neighbor to do the same. Life has been much better since. Hope it gets better for you too.

Fogging glasses

It's been a problem all my life! Has anyone ever found anything close that will keep glasses from fogging? I use the anti-fog mask and it does help some but not totally. I've tried all the anti-fog stuff that is sold occasionally in stores. Got the last one at Bass. Stuff dried out fast so put a few...

Hoss, that is a great story and I'll bet your heart hasn't slowed much yet! It may never happen again, but if it doe to you or someone else, give them the head bob yourself! Especially if you are on your hands and knees. You might be amazed at the results. I could give some wild stories but probably...
