Re: new 380 vs 405?

I own both. Power isn't an issue, but the 405 is flatter shooting. With 406g arrows, there is 30'/sec difference. The trajectory difference really shows up from 70-100 yds. If not interested in shooting farther than 70 yds, I think the 380 has the nod; otherwise, the 405 does. I always take the 405....

If possible, wait until after the ATA (Jan) if possible! Especially, if you're a Leupold admirer. Will not and cannot say more. I'm not at liberty. Period. It's not a Leupold.

I truly love mine ... But it is about all I want to cock without a c2
I agree. The Micro seems harder to cock than the M380 to me. And I think Anthony is right on with the stacking.

Re: Question on new 405 setup

Brian, please compare the pros and cons of both the M405 and the 165. There's no question the Scorpyd is in a power/speed league all it's own. Thanks.

SEW: Who's making this new scope you talk of? I can't say. Sorry. I don't care for people acting in "one upsmanship" concerning knowing things others don't . Im not trying to do that. Unfortunately I can't divulge any info though. I'm trying to save the guy regrets and money. The wait is ...

Re: Question on new 405 setup

Ive killed the last 14 deer with FOCs. 6DRT and 8 close by. The powerful 380 & 405 can effectively deliver what's needed for the FOC.

Re: Question on new 405 setup

I have both a M380 and a M405. They are identically equipped:Boo strings/silencers, TT #2.5 DS, Optimizers/Zeiss Duralyt 2-8 lighted, Zombies 18", AL insert, Plastic flat nocks, helical Blazers, 170g FOC, 406g 391'/sec, 100 yd 1 1/2" 3-shot groups. They are equally accurate. Which bow? 405...

Re: Late Season Deer Movement

Here in AR , a final 3 days of gun season(ML/shotgun). Going AM & PM as there is better chance at getting a final deer out hunting than being inside the house. Agree, PM, near dark, is better.
Good luck all.

Re: Matrix 380/Zombie Accuracy

Steve, considering your skill, at what distances do you feel comfortable shooting an average sized whitetail on level ground with no wind with your 405, 380, and 335??? norm Virtually every one of my stands have shooting rests. When hunting on the ground, I use shooting sticks or my knee. So I shoo...

I love the movie Elf. The infinite giving of love starts with the celebration of Christmas and lovingly ends 33 years later with the ultimate display of love.
Merry Christmas.

Re: Deer Season 2014

.....I think they all went to Steve's (SEW) property!   Anthony :) Anthony, This really seems to be true. I've seen more deer this year than many years past. I routinely pass on 8-pts and normally average 10-12 deer a hunt(3 hrs or so) I could shoot. Timed feeders at this time of ye...
