Re: No fishing

I'm guessing it's a state to state limitations. Michigan bans /fishing from or using motorboats but rowing and kayaking is ok. Go figure! Here in Az. Most lakes and streams are open but they closed all campgrounds, mainly for overnight camping. The trip I missed to the Colorado river , was a good ti...

Stacking rocks ?

What is it with piling up rocks along the rds. In and on trails as markers for knowing directions , is one thing. First noticed a few yrs back in Canada. people stopping along major roadways, to stack a pile of rocks or add a rock to a pile. Some areas ,they were everywhere. Never paid to much atten...

Re: Senior day

I remember those days of pumping windmill for water, woodstove, milkn cows on a 3 legged stool. Warm milk. Outhouse with sears catalog. Etc.

We survived and over time things got better.

Hoping it doesnt take to long to get back to a time somewhere close to normal.

Re: Senior day

Napkins are all gone. Time for paper towels next.

Trying to save Kleenex till last, if we can't find tp.

Last resort , I'm eyeing the stack of cardboard boxes, but will have to soak them in water first.

Re: Shooting Range Closed Covid-19

Yep bunnies in season year round but not on the archery range.
Its owned by the gun range and you pay a fee
So it's not really a public range

Re: Shooting Range Closed Covid-19

Gun range all closed but the silhouette archery range is open. Really shouldn't get in too much trouble. But exceptions. Lots of critters running around. Bunnies, jackrabbits, ground squirrels, quail roadrunners etc. on most of the courses. Guy in front of us decided to shoot the bunnies next to the ...

Re: Trying something new this spring

Yeah I started a (repeat)new tradition for my turkey hunts. Broke out the beast. Marlin model 55 bolt action 12 guage with a 36 in full choke barrel. I used it yrs. ago on a hunt. Kinda heavy but easily reaches out and slams them hard. I barely get much goose or duck hunting nowadays , so was improv...

Re: O/T: Besides hunting and fishing, what types of hobbies??

A little gold prospecting is fun but serious guys can spend a lot of time and cash on epuipement.

Lots of places to just go collect a couple buckets of samples. Label them and pan later.
