No threat to Hansen's buck. This is a non-typical. If they score it as typical then there will be heavy deductions.

I agree. It has been much too warm. We are forecast 69 today. Saturday forecast 45 with rain and sleet. Sunday forecast 42 with rain and snow. Sunday night, snow.

Heartbreaker this morning

Hunting season has been very weird for us this year. Prior to season we saw all sorts of bucks and some very nice ones. However, I never even saw a little buck during season until last week. I could have shot several but passed. Had one only about 10 feet from the stand too! This morning though, I f...

This is what I started wearing last year. Works great and no noise. I even wear this when out riding bicycle. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat470076-cat601733&id=0021057931821a&navCount...

I will only caution everyone on taking naproxen or anaprox. That stuff is a real danger to the stomach. Be sure you take it with food or at least with milk. I used to take anaprox (prescription) a lot but had to get off of it when I lost 75% of my stomach! My wife has taken the naproxen for too long...

Tip #1: Get used to it. It won't get better.

Tip #2: Use ThermaCare pads.

Tip #3: If walking bothers, have someone drop you off using an atv or other vehicle.

Tip #4: Learn to cuss at Arthur very softly so as not to bother the deer.

Re: hunting question

when you go hunting do you sit for the full day? It depends. If rut time, all day sit is fine. If no rut, then not all day. do you sit for a few hours? Other than rut time, yes. do you have lunch on your stand? or do you go out of the wood for lunch and then come back? Of all day sit, then lunch on...

Look on the bright side fellows. It has got rid of those skeeters and other flying insects finally! Deer seem to like it too.

B-Logger.. I have really wanted to try on of those therma cares. They sound big and cozy and would feel great on my beat up back.. :) Do they smell like Ben Gay or something?? Do they stick to your back? Do they really stay warm all day?? :? Sounds like they would be great for a cold all day sit in...

bstout and TPM pretty much nailed it!

btw, I gave some long comments on each one. I particularly do not like the option of allowing the crossbow in any gun season. The reason is there is no option also of allowing it in the bow season. I fear most will miss this point.
