It has to be long enough to fit over the ends with no strings or else you could not use it to put the string on. Just check to make sure it is adjusted to the correct length. I think the best way to decide is to know what your kinetic energy is at 70 yards and determine if its enough to do the job properly.

I'll hang mine up to 7 days but I also have fully processed deer meat immediately and really not noticed any difference. one thing my butcher always told me was is should be bleeding right up to the moment you put it on your mouth...

I started hooks down like the excalibur video showed then switched to hooks up when a forum member suggested it so that you can see the rope seated properly within the hooks.

I have had many bad experiences there. I still go back for certain things because they are less than 5 min away from my work. but the same thing almost happened to me...sorry about your experience.

antlers just outside the ears

In most places in north america I would place him between 2 - 3 years old.

Interesting...is there any chance that you put enough material on the stirrup that the fletching was touching it after being fired? I wrapped mine this year and have not fired it yet but the clearance is really close....were you still getting the same group jut different POI?

Hoooey! Physics is Physics as a the great Scottie told Captn Kirk "..Ya can't change the laws of physics Captain!" WRT to a scope ...yes of course you can use open sights. I prefer the scope because of its light gathering characteristics and magnification..personal choice.

Aerodynamically a single bevel will create a rotating force one one side of the blade.No idea if this is at all a factor tho.
