Re: Almost "screwed" Need Help
Good point now that I think of it I could reinstall the stirrup with one bolt and remove the string. I know the limb bolts are seized too so I probably will not touch those.colouredchameleon wrote:You could make a temporary stirup out of rope to remove string

Re: Almost "screwed" Need Help
Great info guys thanks. I made a tactical error of not removing the string so I am pretty much stuck with the string and limbs on. I did move the bolt maybe 1/2 turn before it all went to hell and I have some dropped some oil on it in the hopes that it will penetrate. I guess I have to make sure the...

Almost "screwed" Need Help *edit SUCCESS!!"
I was trying to remove my stirrup to treat it with something to dampen vibration. The bolts were seized pretty good. I managed to get one out but for the life of me could not get the other. I ended up cutting the head off with a dremel tool and I am currently left with about 3/8" of bolt shaft ...

Sling for me but because I always carry the bow on the same shoulder. I wear down one side of the string prematurely as it rubs on my back...FYI.

Re: Need Help With a Horton Safari Magnum X Bow
Thanks MCA that was going to be my next question...If I ever get the string on...any idea of the poundage of this thing? It feels like close to 100lbs (more like three hundred after trying to string it for an hour...)

Re: Need Help With a Horton Safari Magnum X Bow
Yes I tried the tug o war last night and only succeeded in ruining the loop servings. I will probably need to have a custom string made if i shoot this thing much. Tonight I will try to make a cocking aid like the exclaibur one and do it right.., thx again for your help...

Re: Need Help With a Horton Safari Magnum X Bow
Thx foofoo. The blue rope as the stirrup makes perfect sense although it means it has to be on all the time but oh well...I will try using the method described in the link. Im just not sure how it will work because both loop ends have to share the same notch but there must be a way. Thanks again for...
