Re: 2022 Oklahoma Crossbow Buck

That's a heck of a Deer for sure. Being just south of Oklahoma, we here in Texas see a lot of good Deer taken in Oklahoma every year. No wonder it has the reputation of being one of the great "sleeper" states for good Whitetails. :eusa-shhh: Yes sir, I live in east TX but own a ...

2022 Oklahoma Crossbow Buck

Well, this is the third year in a row that I’ve tagged a nice NW Oklahoma buck during the first week of season. I watched this buck on camera for a couple months, and Sunday evening was my first time to see him in person. Needless to say, it didn’t end well for him. The weather had been hot and wind...

Re: electric pole saw

I wanted a pole saw a couple years ago but didn’t want to spend the money for a Stihl or Husky, so I decided to try a Bauer 20 volt cordless pole saw from Harbor Freight. I’ll be honest and say I don’t have a high opinion of HF tools, but wow, the pole saw is great. I like it so much I bought a Baue...

Re: Not gonna happen to me...until it does

I’ve had to do RMA’s on my Micro 335 and formerly owned M380, and I believe the RMA asks for all the information they will need. As far as removing the string, when my limbs cracked, I just unstrung them like normal, because I figured the limbs could get any more ruined than they already were. For t...

The only bow I have that hasn’t had limb issues is my Dad’s old IBEX, so I will go with that one.

Really nice buck! I bet your taxidermist is happy too!
I haven’t even got last year’s buck back yet from the taxidemist, and I’m trying to decide if I’m shoulder mounting this years or just going to euro mount him myself.

Re: 2021 Alfalfa Co OK Buck

You sure do take the time to create a nice picture! I like that! Thank you! The picture from last year was a selfie with my phone, because I was hunting by myself. My youngest son was up hunting with me this year and took my picture with his iPhone 12. He had a decent camera, but his phone pictures...

Re: What are you carrying in your pack this yr?

I haven't carried a pack in years. My camo pants have 6 pockets and my shirt has 2. I usually bring a knife, gloves, face mask, range finder, binoculars, rope cocker and (in the morning) a tight sealing coffee mug. All of my hunting is done on my farm from already placed stands. I don't need to tak...

2021 Alfalfa Co OK Buck

Well, persistence paid off this morning, and I finally got to see a buck I had on camera for the last couple years in person. He’s got 13 points but should’ve been a 14, because he had already broke one off. He came in and left before shooting light, but he came back in and presented a 20 yard broad...

Re: What do you think Excalibur will do for 2022?

Whatever Excalibur comes out with in 2022, the first ones will have limb problems, and they’ll probably come out with another “solution” to a problem that doesn’t exist.

Re: Excalibur Equinox Losing it’s touch

Bad scope or loose scope mount would be my guess. I helped a buddy try to sight his bow in, and it was doing the same as the OP’s. The scope mount ended up being slightly loose.

Re: 6 more days

Good luck on your hunt! NW Missouri could definitely yield a P&Y buck for you.

I’m leaving Wednesday for my place in NW Oklahoma to meet my youngest son for archery opener on Friday.
