I'm not getting out until after the 6th if the 10 day forecast is correct. :eusa-popcorn:
October 6th is the new moon too, so in my experience, nocturnal bucks make fatal mistakes on new moons. Best of luck to you!!!

Re: No more BD330 ??

I was surprised to see they took the 330 out of the line up. I guess I wont be selling my Bulldogs anytime soon, going to be hard to part with them now. Maybe I should buy some extra limbs for safe keeping before long. I would definitely say if you intend to shoot your BD330 a lot and a long time b...

Re: How many of you are ready to roll?

I was at my place in Oklahoma last week and got my Micro335 that I leave up there strung and sighted in (my youngest son will be hunting with it), and I have been shooting my Offspring for over a month. I’m leaving the end of this week for a job in CA and won’t be back until Sept 30 (season opens Oc...

Re: Boltcutters

Well I’m sticking my neck out a bit but with all the ExcaliburCrossbow hunts I have watched with Dan and others representing Excalibur I have to think they used Excalibur heads, and they seem to do quite well! JMHO Given the way the media “twists” the truth, do you honestly believe they would tell ...

I don’t know why but I never had a single limb issue over maybe a dozen models.
I had shot thousands of shots and never had a single issue of any kind with any of my Excaliburs until I did. :eusa-think:

Re: How many is too many?

This may be a little off topic, but given Excaliburs limb issues, only having one (or two) crossbows can leave a person in a bind during hunting season. I was in the situation a couple years ago where my Micro335 and M380 both had cracked limbs at the same time during hunting season, and if it weren...

Re: Boltcutters

I have used the 150gr boltcutters . In my experience they don’t leave good blood trails. So unless they crash and fall over in sight the blood trail can be a bit lacking . ^^^^THIS^^^^^was my exact problem with the 150 gr Boltcutters. I never lost a deer, but I had to use my blood trailing dog on a ...

Re: Boltcutters

I wasn’t overly impressed with the performance of 150 gr Boltcutters on NW Oklahoma whitetails and ended up going to a 100 gr Carbon Express broadhead, and so far, I’m pleased with them. My son bought some 100 gr Tooth of the Arrow broadheads to try this year, but I don’t see that they’re going to b...

Re: OT (bug out bag)

Just curious....what makes you think we will have a few years of peace? I was referring to ammunition run induced shortages when I used the phrase a few years of peace (which was a poor way to say it). As far as national turmoil goes, there will always be something simmering or boiling over. Expect...

Re: Innovation

I’m not talking out my tail on the limb issues. I have 4 Excaliburs and an Offspring, and my Micro335 and Matrix380 both have new limbs due to catastrophic failure, and my Exomax has a cracked limb right now. Personally, I think 3 of 4 having limb issues constitutes a “problem”. I only hunted with m...

Re: Innovation

Innovation is fine if you already have a good product to start with, but in my opinion, Excalibur needs to concentrate their “innovation” on building limbs that don’t crack. I see people asking for crossbow recommendations on other boards, and I can’t recommend Excalibur with a good conscience. I ha...

Re: Excalibur TwinStrike Crossbow

I didn’t read through all the comments so I may be parroting others, but in my opinion, the R&D time would be much better spent trying to develop a limb that’s not susceptible to breakage rather than building a two shot crossbow. This seems like they’re trying to find a solution to a problem tha...

You can’t kill’em if you can’t see’em. In my opinion, there’s no such thing as overkill when it comes to hunting optics.
