Re: Deer cart upgrade

I would especially love to play with Bella and the 'safety sleeve'. I think we'd both love that....to be extra cautious, and since the cameras will be rolling, I must insist Tom wears the Boofest Robe...to look more professional. :eusa-dance: Paul Paul, you know as much as everyone else, I "DO...

Re: Deer cart upgrade

Don, I'd love to help you test your new cart. Here's my thought...I'll come and lay on the cart and you can pull me around your property while I throw pieces of a delicious sub sandwich (which I'll stop and get from Tom) to the girls. I'll yell encouraging remarks to you to help keep a good pace. :...

Re: Posting for ONETIMEONLY X--> - A reminder for us hunting

That is scary and shows what can happen when you let your guard down. The only safe way to approach a down deer is from behind, above it's back. This way it is very difficult to kick you and impossible to gore you before you can react. I am sorry but I won't put my foot anywhere near it's antlers be...

Re: BOLTS CHANGING TRAJECTORY

................ Deflection is always going to occur in some way with bow hunting. I would not worry about that too much, probably more normal than not I would think. Congrats on the deer! Arrows do not fly a flat trajectory! They do not fly like a lazer beam. There are way too many factors that de...

Re: BOLTS CHANGING TRAJECTORY

Yes a bolt will change trajectory on entry. The tail end of the arrow has less friction then the tip which is now cutting meat and bone. If you shoot an arrow into water to hit a target, you need to aim low as the arrow deflects towards the water surface (bow fishermen understand this fact). You als...

What WMU you hunting
49. Just got here
Good luck Chris, nothing better then moose meat.

The last few years I hunted moose was in 50, but too many people to get a tag. 12 people to split for the meat leaves little for the freezer.

I would love to get back to 29 for archery again.

Re: To pee or not to pee

We use to use antifree jugs as a container, but we found that bears loved to chew on the jugs if we left them nearby (instead ov carrying them the 2-3 klms in and out).

Actually we found that pee never hindered any activity.

Re: To pee or not to pee

Many years ago I was a member of a trailcam building forum. I witnessed through pictures posted on the forum this ....... A member was having trouble with anti-hunters around his stands so he posted 3 trail cams near eact of his stands. He had pictures of 1 male and 1 female that would walk up and p...

Re: Converting a Mechanical for Practice

Thanks Joe. Funny thing though, I have 3 Spitfire practice heads that flew nothing like my field points or the actual broadheads....and Ironnoggin witnessed it. I found them a complete waste of money. My concern was that the glue/epoxy wouldn't hold up to the shock and force of the arrow slamming i...

Re: Exo Bull

That thing looks as big as a Clydesdale! I know that after the kill of an animal this big there is a lot of hard work that has to be done in a timely manner, but I'm sure I wouldn't mind. I think I would have to buy two or three more freezers, though. Congrats to them! As Boo said Newfoundland is m...

Re: Exo Bull

That's an awesome moose......what's not awesome is gutting, skinning, boning, and packing that behemoth through that tangle of buck brush they're in!!! ....although it would be a labour of love. Paul Paul, are you volunteering to "slug" out the moose ...... if you are, I...
