Re: Shot distance for deer hunting

I have a personal maximum shot limit of 30 yards. The true love of the hunt for me is being able to get close. I will and have passed at big game farther that 30 yards while hunting. My 470 grain arrows out of my Matrix 355 carries enough momentum to kill quickly and humanely, but I owe it to the an...

Re: Matrix Case

I love this case for my Matrix 355. I wanted a padded soft side case, so I looked at the Tarantula CB0200CM camo deluxe crossbow case. It is well made and properly padded. The Tarantula comes with a small tackle box and has a pouch that holds my MTM crossbow bolt box. This case fits my Matrix 355 30...

Nice setup.

I, too enjoy the simplicity on using a single crosshair.

Re: Does everyone use a rangefinder?

I've never owned or used a range finder. I am rather good at estimating ranges, plus I could't justify the cost. I pace off yardage for practise and stand hunting.

Re: leupold vx-2 ultralight rimfire 2x7

anyone running this scope on their bow? i need to compare exit pupils, etc.... but with current rebates, looks like a good option I considered installing my older Leupold Vari-X 2-7x28mm compact scope, but instead installed a Leupold VX-I 2-7x33mm scope since the forward objective clears using Leup...

Re: Built an arrow puller today

When I had my Equinox I was using Excalibur's arrow puller, but several nocks came out. I sent it along when I sold my Equinox. http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/images/products/arrow_puller.jpg I ordered Dan Miller's arrow pulling pliers and heavy duty stringing aid. Total price was $44.00 shipped l...

Re: Scope Mount Bolt Removal

I had to use a EZ out screw extractor for a couple of the four stubborn tiny hex head screws from my Matrix 355's scope base. I installed #20 Torx pan head 8-32 screws as upgraded replacements.

Either Leupold VX-R hog scope would be perfect for your Excalibur.

Re: VX-R Issues

I pulled the trigger on a new VX-R today. When I bought it the guy behind the counter said he didn't recommend it on a crossbow and that there were issues with the scopes being able to handle the high impact and hold a zero. I haven't read anything like that on this site, or anywhere else for that ...

Danny Miller @ [740] 483-2312. I'm not sure of his 'status' but he'll fix you up. I've read numerous complaints on Woodies....... I've heard good things on Danny I just wanted to confirm he is an authorized warranty shop. Yes, Danny Miller is the best, don't hesitant on giving him a call. He takes ...

Bruce, did you decide yet? Let us know when you do. 8) Not quite, I've got contractors starting our pond pavilion, been bit distracted. Leaning toward the Leupold 1.5 x 4 20mm wth duplex for a single aim point, subject to change of coarse! My birthday's coming along, perhaps I could persuade (con) ...
