Re: Upgrading Optics

Does the duracoat color match the Leupold dark earth color pretty well? I hadnt thought about that option as I was going to check with the local anodize place and see what they could do and how much it would cost. Thanks for the idea, I will look into that. I am old enough that guns were polished an...

Re: Upgrading Optics

flightattendant100, I did see that the Leupold Turkey Plex reticle is 6.5 inches at 45 yards when its set on 4x magnifacation. Obviously this is used for Turkey hunting, but can this help for anything on my crossbow. I might be able too use this circle as a measuring device at known distances if I c...

Re: Upgrading Optics

flightattendant100, I have been thinking about using Duracoat in Leupold's Dark Earth to finish all the metal furniture on my Excalibur Equinox. My Equinox has a mixture of black and green, so it would be nice to color the scope base/rings, foot stirrup, S5 String Shock Sound Suppression System and ...

Re: Upgrading Optics

I bought the Excalibur Equinox Shadow Zone package this year and successfully harvested a large white-tailed doe this past early November. The Excalibur Chinese made Shadow Zone scope worked flawlessly for me, but I will be swapping it out for a Leupold scope. I recently picked up a lightly used Leu...

Re: Which bow?

I am 6 feet tall and approx 215lb, so I bought the Equinox since it was 225lb pull and the thumbhole stock. I love this crossbow and I know I made the right choice, but any Excalibur model you choose will bring you total satisfaction.

Re: My Equinox 1st deer harvest.

I will probably go with the Leupold shotgun scope, since the heavy reticle will perform in low light without any electronics.

I still like the idea of the German #1 or German #4.

Re: My Equinox 1st deer harvest.

Thank you everyone, I love this crossbow and so does my 14 year old daughter. We still need too fill her archery license. Deerstalker, I have too tell you honestly, I didn't feel too good when I looked at the Shadow-zone scope box that came with my package and saw it was made in China. Also, I just ...

My Equinox 1st deer harvest.

This year I bought a new Excalibur Equinox Shadowzone package and last Friday I filled my upper MI archery license with a adult doe. http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag32/yooper_man/Deer%20Hunting/20121026_194459_zps49b5238e.jpg http://i1297.photobucket.com/albums/ag32/yooper_man/Deer%20Hunting/2...

Re: boo on trigger

Just wondering what will this aftermarket trigger offer or improve over the standard stock trigger?

Re: New Excalibur owner just and joined forum!

Thank you everyone. I do like the straight pull I get from the threaded T-handle, but I guess I need some arrow lube. I am worried the lube will bury my fletching. Also glad to discover the boltcutter broadheads fly the same flight as field points. I do have some 5 minute 2 part epoxy, will this wor...

New Excalibur owner and just joined forum!

I just joined this forum after purchasing and shooting (sighting in) my brand new Excalibur #6772 Equinox Shadow-Zone Light Stuff package. I bought this from an Excalibur online dealer with extras a total of 19 each Firebolt Arrows, Arrow Puller, Deluxe T-Form Padded Case, 2 each Flemish Dyna Flight...
