I'd say you were hunting with guys that should not have been hunting. If you hunt long enough you are going to lose a deer, it happens to everyone. But 50% recovery rate is RIDICULOS!!!

I butcher all of my deer, BUT I do take the grind meat to butcher shop to have hamburger done. They grind it add 20% angus fat and wrap it for about .40 a lb. They do a great job and I'm not fooling with it for that money.

I've switched to the Dicks 17 footer lots of room and seat flips up, platform goes all the way to the tree. They are on sale now. Another nice one I believe rivers edge or something like that called Jumbo Jack or similar about same features as Dicks brand. I have a Far arse and these are very comfy....
