Re: Nap spitfire crossbow
I have shot the regular Spitfire 125 grain using my Vortex and then I switched to the Spitfire Max 125 grain and I have shot them out of the 335 Mirco. I did pick up the xbow 125 grain and have not had any problems with any of them out of both the Vortex and Micro.

Re: Best Matrix/Micro Series Crossbow Poll
My choice is the 335. I have a Vortex which I shot for years and when I got the 335 it's amazing. 335 all day for me.

Re: String Silencers or limb savers
I have the bumpers that excal sales on both of my xbow which are the Vortex and the Micro 335.All the deer and the bear I shot did not hear anything until the arrow was thru them. I talked to Danny Miller about making it quieter by adding whiskers or limb savers and he told me that I don't need them...

I have not shot that model but I'm a big fan of NAP. What I shoot is the Spitfire Max 125 grain and they do some real damage. In the past I have used regular Spitfires and years back I shot there Shockwave. A lot of the mechanicals that they are making an xbow model. Great broadheads.

Re: NAP spitfire edge
I have been shooting NAP broadheads for along time. What I'm shooting now is the Spitfire Max 125 grain and I have never put anything on them. I have taken a lot of deer over the years. They have come out with a xbow one. The only difference is the tension clip is a little heavier. I have not had on...

Hey after reading the regs you were perfectly legal. You were in your man made blind. The way the regs read is that you can not make one out of natural material. To me it is nit picking. I'm sure if you go to court you will win. Good luck with your decision. Keep us posted.

Re: Micro vs. Matrix
Seabee I was shooting a Vortex and loved that xbow. I shot a lot of deer and took my first bear with the Vortex. Last year I picked up a Micro 335 and what a difference hunting with it while being in a tree. The smaller size gives you more shooting lanes instead of being right in front shots. Even t...

Excal has a really good warranty. I would send the whole excal back they should replace it with not only one problem with it. Good luck.

Re: New Addition to the Excal. Family
Welcome. Excals are the elbows to own. I have had a Vortex for many years and took a lot of Game with it. Now I own a Micro 335 and it's a great compact xbow. Took a few Deer with it and love shooting this one too.

The broadheads I will be using is NAP Spitfire Max 125 grain. I few other guys on here have used Spitfires and they have done well. I'm also using a Micro 335 and the bolts are the quills. Hope to be showing a pic.

Re: crossbow choice or necessity ?
I would say both for me. I started using the crossbow when it became legal in Pennsylvania for Deer because I have a bad back that goes into spasms. I still take the compound out during early season. I used it during winter bow because it was a lot harder to take Deer with all of the clothes and not...

Danny is definitely the excal man you do want to talk too. He never will rush you and he talks to you like you were old friends. Yes a couple of times I mentioned about getting something and he said you don't need that. All in all he is a great person.
