I had an 870 12g with the cantilever barrel, I'm now shooting a savage 220 bolt action, it's far more superior than the 870......

like said above, make sure u remove the ARROW FIRST, then put some tension on ur rope cocker, hold tight and slowly let ur bow string down

I haven't seen a new Excal come from out of the box with the brace height set correctly, by the time its made and shipped and finally opened, the factory string has stretched, that's just the way it is, no fault of the manufacturer, the fault usually is the new owner not aware what it is suppose to ...

but ur bottom rings where you think will work, then lay your scope on them, shoulder the bow n see how your eye relief is, go from there, its all adjustable

I had all of the older style Xcal bows, all of them, my fave was my Vortex, I now shoot the Matrix 330 n have no complaints, it just works for me...

If I have to do any night tracking or trying to find a blood trail, i use a Coleman Lantern with a homemade aluminum reflector with a copper and wood handle that I attach to my lantern. I hold it similar to a flashlight. The shield keeps the light out of my eyes and Illuminates very brightly wherev...
