I have a 2012 Equinox so I guess I should be to go.
I have loosen the screws already without any trouble so once it arrives switch the scope between mounts / sightin / and a hunting I will go.

Is it a straight swap out or does the arrow retainer have to be replaced with newer version or are modifications required.

Next time try a small soldering iron to heat the screw first (battery type). Let it cool as quickly as possible then try removing. The expansion / contraction of heating and cooling sometimes breaks the seal.
