Re: matrix or micro
Well, I'm over 60 :eusa-dance: and I really like my Micro 355!! Like the others say, shoot the one that you're comfortable with! Any of the Excalibur stuff will do the job as long as you do yours! And btw...the "shortening of the string" on your rope cocker really does help. :mrg...

Re: Trophy Rock time
The deer would indeed be a rather tasty morsel, but think of all the fiber you'd get from the tree!! Just saying!

Re: micro 355 crossbow
I've had a 355 Micro Suppressor for some time now. I LOVE this bow! My wife says I spend more time with it than with her!! Anyway...I've hunted out of tree stands, ground blinds and tower stands under a bunch of different conditions and the Micro has always worked like a charm! I couldn't be m...

Re: OT Where were you 11/22/1963
I was a kid out running the woods of East Texas. I remember stopping by my Grandpa's place. He was tough as an Iron Wood tree stump. Part Irish and part Choctaw. He had raised 10 kids, Been drafted into WWI and lived to tell about it. I though he was invincible. I remember seeing him sitting in fron...

Re: Portable Crossbow Tripod
In all seriousness, I too took a camera tripod and made a few adjustments to the mounting head. I made a wooden cradle head that would attach to the camera post. wrapped it in felt and then secured it to the tripod. The tripod itself is very sturdy and fully adjustable for height and the head fully ...

Re: Portable Crossbow Tripod
If your crossbow is always at the ready while you're snoozing, you'll never be attacked by Ninja Squirrels!!
Not that I'd "EVER" snooze, nor do I believe in Ninja Squirrels
But ya dang sure need to watch out for those Bucks wearing Klingon Cloaking devices!!!

Re: new to cross bows
I'm a 60 plus year old guy that shoots a Micro Suppressor 355. Yeah it's a might stiff on the "pull to crank", BUT...I found out if you'll shorten the pull cocker charging rope, (don't know if that's the right terminology, or not  ), a slight bit, it'll make a world of difference in...

Re: Has the RUT started in your area?
In East Texas the bucks are still grouped together. Saw 3 yesterday evening about 18:00 hours. Could have pulled on an 8, but I have trail cam footage of a MUCH bigger buck!!! This is the last weekend of bow season here in East Texas. Gonna go see if I can "stick a doe" later today. :eusa-...

Re: Quill Bolts and replacing the nocks?
They actually make a tool to remove the flat nocks from the carbon bolts/arrows for your Excalibur. I'll use the term "arrows" simply because I'm not a mechanic throwing "bolts" across a car repair shop.... :eusa-naughty: Anyways, I digress....The problem I encountered is, I don'...

Re: Quill Bolts and replacing the nocks?
I've had REALLY good accuracy with the fixed blade "Bolt Cutters" that Excalibur makes. Couldn't be happier with them. I've shot this setup out to 50 yards and they fly like their on a string. Excalibur broke me, I'll never shoot any other bow. I've been shooting the standard Qui...

Re: Quill Bolts and replacing the nocks?
Thanks!! I knew someone on here would have already played with this project. The Micro came with a set of Quills so I bought some more. They seem to fly really well out of the stubby Micro. I'm fairly new to this whole "crossbow thing" so I appreciate all the info I can garner. Would you r...

Quill Bolts and replacing the nocks?
Evening Folks!! I'm sure someone has ask this question before, but I can't find an answer. SO I'll post it here... :eusa-deadhorse: I have a Micro 355 that I bought a year or so ago. Love the Bow!! Wish I had a new Assassin, but I'll wait, or get a divorce! I'd like to find out if it's feasible to r...
