Re: OT: A Fine & Proper SCARE!
The important question nog, how did you do offshore fishing the day of your blowout? More salmon sharks? :) Not too bad. Mo sharks that time of year, but probably later on if I can get back out there... Well, I went through the second surgery on the macula hole on the 6th. Just today am able to sit...

......I didn't even mention 'hind sight' A little comic relief never hurts! Good thing you weren't inquiring as to any possible LGBT buddies lurkin' in the background! Gotta be honest, I am freaked. Hanging onto sanity, but the thread is thin at this point... Turns out that eve...

Re: OT: A Fine & Proper SCARE!
Well... another visit to the SawBones today. The "good" news: The retina has healed up pretty good from the first surgery, and is now largely re-attached as it should be. Next surgery is scheduled for a week from this Thursday (6 July). Doc still thinks there are " decent odds " ...

Re: SPOOKY CWD Development!!
I wouldn't worry about it. Might just want to rethink that a little... There has been a great deal of research into the cause, distribution, transmission and effects of CWD. The latest development I noted above is damn spooky, for if in fact us Two-Legs can contract this, it likely does not require...

SPOOKY CWD Development!!
New studies indicate it may be transmissible to HUMANS!!! https://thetyee.ca/News/2017/06/24/Chronic-Wasting-Disease-Research/ Not "found" in BC as of yet, but there are many researchers who believe it likely is - just not identified thus far. Has been found widespread in Alberta, ...

Re: zombie slayers vs. executioners
I shot Executioners from my Matrix 380 with fine results out to 75 - 80 yards for a couple years. I did eventually move into Zombie Slayers for that bow, and they tightened up the groups at all ranges just a little, as well as extending accurate groupings out to 100 yards. If you're planning to keep...

Re: Alberta Bowhunting Association Rep
...The Alberta crew is horrible re: crossbows.... Always knew that. Have had a few comments tossed my way by Holier Than Thou "Purists" over there who believe a crossbow is not "archery" but the latest high end compounds with 90% let off, HHA's and sensitive trigger releases are...

Alberta Bowhunting Association Rep
So, one of the ABA's reps ran into my Hunter Host in a pub just the other night. He was apparently a little itchy to take my Buddy to task for hosting me over there, with a crossbow, in their archery seasons. Now my partner has a fairly lengthy fuse most of the time, but when the words cripple , and...

Re: Long range shooters
... To extend that range you may want to look into an HHA Optimizer along with a better scope. OR ... May just collect another scope? I have no problems getting 2-3" groups at 100 yards with the Hawke on my M 380. And, I basically consider a 65 yard shot to be a bit of a " Ch...
