Re: Can you make it out for a hunt with me?
If you're in the area or within decent driving distance, clear your schedule. Hunting deer with Ken is always a great experience, even if there's no harvest. The opportunity to observe set ups and pick the brain of a great deer hunter are worth the time alone. Good luck to anyone who takes him up on...

Re: Hurricane Sandy
Might just be a Category 1, but it's the size of the thing and the prospect of it hanging up in one spot for a couple days that is most worrisome. If you're in an affected area and head out after this weather passes, be sure to check the stability of your stand before you settle in it. High winds ca...

Re: MOOSE!!! Picture added by TPM on pg 2 :)
It was a big job in terms of quantity. The muscle groups were the same as a deer, so, once I got myself familiarized, the cutting just came naturally. Glad you and Tim got all that meat packaged up and put away. And the couple moose steaks you insisted on sending home with me, even though I was more...

Re: finally 2012 munchmount
Good looking work as always Terry. I really should have consulted with you on the camera mount I purchased for my bow before I bought one from Insane Archery. The issue I'm finding with it is that there's too much vibration on the shot. There's going to be a little, of course, but the thing bounces ...

Re: southern ontario opener ( any luck )
No frost yet, but, leaves are turning...not to the extent the photo shows, though. The light + camera lens is adding more of an orange hue on the leaves than there should be. Lots of pictures of turkeys from this location too, so, my wife's cousin will be out there for the Fall turkey season trying ...

Re: southern ontario opener ( any luck )
Let him walk...this picture was taken shortly after I was at full draw, then relaxed (may as well practice, eh?) http://i1090.photobucket.com/albums/i362/crooner2/23.jpg Had him dead...20 yards, broadside. But, being opening day and only having one seal in my pocket good for a buck, I took a pass. I...

Re: Eventful Opening Day
Yep...drew on and held on this little guy broadside at 20 yards...then let him walk away. With only one game seal good for a buck in my pocket, I'm going to be a wee bit picky. Scouting camera caught him on his way out.

Re: Moderators, please check. Thanks
You may want to contact Ontario out of Doors (www.ontariooutofdoors.com) and see if they could put a 'heads up' in the news section in the front of the magazine, as well as the OFAH (www.ofah.org) to see if they can do an e-blast of membership (not sure if OFAH membership is required to hunt Beverle...

Fifty years in this day and age of a 54% divorce rate and the recent census showing that more people are opting to live common law or alone is definitely something to be proud of. Marriage seems to be an institution that few respect, cherish or nurture anymore.
Congrats to them.
Congrats to them.

Re: Bad news for Canadians
It has become abundantly clear that outside influences have caused Global TV to cancel all hunting programming. There is no justifiable reason, from a business angle, as Global openly admits that the viewership for the top rated hunting program, Canada in the Rough, is quite high. The Vancouver Huma...

Re: Bad news for Canadians
(OTTAWA – September 5, 2012) The Canadian Shooting Sports Association (CSSA) is suggesting that firearm owners re-think their use of Shaw Media products and services as long as the company demonstrates prejudice against Canada's hunters and sport shooters. Global TV, which is a Shaw subsidiary, is k...

Re: Huntfest Orangeville
I'll be at the Canadian Shooting Sports Association booth all day on Friday. Drop by, say hello and help support legislative action on gun control and junior shooting programs that help send young men and women to events like the Ontario Summer Games. Oh...we raise heck when those same young women a...
