Re: Buck'd Out. What now?
DuckHunt, You’ve had a dream year! Are you going duck hunting? Do you varmint hunt? Such a position we get into. If we’re successful, we can’t keep doing what we love to do. And to think that some only get 1 tag per year! Your 3 bucks is an exception, I think. Congratulations and thanks for sharing....

Re: Buck'd Out. What now?
That is a very unique weapon. It is a fully bedded OBO stock, Sav10ML2 action with a proprietary breech plug that fully contains the 209 (CCIm) primer. It has the second PacNor 458 barrel used on a smokeless MLer (2001 or 2002). It has a Zeiss 2x8 Duralyt lighted shooting a 200SST powered by a duple...

I have the same problem. 1st day of our “gun” season. 7AM. Tagged out. So now, I’m going after bobcats and coyotes. 17 HMR and crossbow. Love hunting those varmints!
Congratulations!
Congratulations!

Re: 440 or 420 TD.
I really like the Charger for my BD400. I especially like the removable part. When hunting , it stays in my pack when not being used. A used C-2 might be a good ace in the hole backup. I really wouldn’t want one built in.

Our Arkansas deer look pretty domesticated compared to that deer. He looks like a bruiser.

Re: What’s the best replacement scope?
The question is very open ended. Crossbows and hunting styles vary so much, there isn’t a best for all xbows, desired hunting traits, pocket books, etc to give a concise answer. Cost parameters, will you hunt until it’s dark, what ranges are you planning for a maximum, prefer a single x-hair or a de...

Re: 22" Spynal Tapps with Matrix 380
Possibly marginally better accuracy at extreme range. Can get by with slightly less foc. I wouldn’t choose to electively use them exclusively for a M380. I use 22” , flat nocked arrows in my SWATS so I just use the same arrows in my BD400. However, if I just had the BD400, I’d use 20” arrows.

Re: My swhacker experience
I’ve killed 1 large buck with a 2” original Schwacker. 427g arrow, SWAT, 28 yards, mid-chest (too high), didn’t exit, blades bent , spotty, but adequate blood trail, 200 yards, unimpressed. I love the various Slick Tricks, especially the Grizz Tricks and 150g Crossbow Tricks.

Re: Posting for ONETIMEONLY X--> - A reminder for us hunting
The guy in Arkansas (Yellville) shot the deer with a MLer. The deer gored him with his antlers, the man called either 911 or home. When they got to him, he was dead.

Re: Buck down! They're moving.
I have used the LTO for 2 years. $699 then. Mixed feelings as I have some IR binos for $250 that do better for what I want - to see in the dark. But the LTO will help more in not getting busted getting into or out of your stand/whatever. The LTO 2 on sale for $399 is a no brainer as it has almost d...

It is unfortunate that certain, all demanding, sports occur during hunting season. 60 years ago, I made my decision; but that’d not necessarily be the right decision for you. I wish you the best.

Re: Excalibur taking a beating.
I AM on Facebook, minimally, but here's a take: For those of my generation who do not, and cannot, comprehend why Facebook exists: I am trying to make friends outside of Facebook while applying the same principles of Facebook. Therefore, every day I walk down the street and tell passers by what I h...
