On all Matrix models the string should sit 5/8" to  1" back from the joint where the riser meets the rail. If you have the Matrix 380 the string should sit about 1/8” off the R.E.D.S. suppressor pads.

I just bought an older Exocet 175lbs mag tip , probably 2000 or 2001 model. There is only 1 mark near the end of the riser. I read in old posts I should be shooting a 1" brace height on this particular bow, but my question is 1" from where?

Phoenix or Exocet,both were fair priced and most people started with one of those. My first bow was a 2006 Phoenix shot 3 deer with it and regret selling it
